Stop messing around, guys. Valle and Wong both AGREED to the money match as is. Messing around with the rules has just the potential to brake the deal.
Plus, MvC2 and A2 are very like the most interesting games to watch. I don’t want to see they playing Ninja Turtles or Mortal Kombat. I want to see the best A2 player in the world against maybe the overall smartest player in the world. And then I want to see the best MvC2 player in the world against maybe the overall smartest player in the world. This is hype!
Plus, MvC2 is the best community to get hype, cheers, well, make the event great with the crowd. You can’t exclude them. And A2 is the newest hottest stuff after GGPO. Everybody is going to watch this by August.
And MvC2, 3S and CvS2 simply have to be there because those are the games that everybody plays and watches. Taking any of them out represents excluding one community, reducing the crowd, reducing the hype, reducing the goodness of the big screen and DVDs.
What we need is right now is not to nitpick on rules and take out their main games. We need to gather lots and lots of money to make this the hypest MM ever.
And bring Daigo in if you want to. Overall, he doesn’t stand a chance.
This is so good because JWong can’t have MMs at Marvel because nobody has the guts or the talent to do it against him. And Valle could never beat Japan or these new players officially in A2 because the scene died. Now we can watch Rocky Balboa twice !!!
And I have an idea. Instead of limiting the money people can bet, maybe the “booker” can just play odds. Lets say Wong has 10 thousand going his way and Valle has 5, so whoever beats on Valle will get double. This means everybody can bet, more money will be on the line, and OMG, its goodness all the way…

I keep thinking that if either Valle or Choi lived in Japan, A2 would still be big over there. But instead their A2 nationals had only Chun players in the top 4 so the game was abandoned shortly after that. It’s basically the same story as Chun killing 3S in America before the unexpected resurgence a couple of years ago.

both of these games need to be applied ot this event. they were major events for both of them. Valle came out of nowhere in T3 and owned in Tag, wong is doing the same thing at the end of T5 and now doing well in DR. So both these need to be added to roster.
