Alex probably plays Marvel as much as Justin plays A2/A3. And it isn’t like Alex is a total scrub in Marvel. Alex has had some major wins in the past. 2nd place B4, 2nd place MWC, 5th place B5.
You mentioned how he came back out of nowhere to beat Daigo in 3S last year. Why can’t he hang with the top mvc2 players if he truly honed his skills?
I highly doubt Alex Valle would even agree to that. I don’t think Alex is the type of guy that wants to play a money match where either he or his opponent is restricted to playing one specific team because it taints the victor’s win. People would say that the other guy would have won if they were allowed to choose any team.
haha you dont troll? what do you call this then? running into a random thread to post some boring ass unfunny joke hoping to bait someone into a debate so you can whip out “oh its just the same characters over and over people dont use low tiers” a majority of the money matches bring out the best in people yea yea give me that shit about why not play for pride instead of money its stupid? well guess what dipshit all of these matches are going on at EVO where everyones already competing for pride, the difference is alot of these people play as if they need that money to live and you know what alot of them do, alot of them hope to win back their money to cover their transportation and then some, when you have the difference between eating a cold sandwich and a fucking buffet you better believe people are gonna give it their all, alot of people dont have jobs and this is their only mode of funding. of course there are people who’ve got jobs and cars and dont even trip and they want to see these guys wreck so why not make them put their all into it? sure they can just play with no money but theres alot more weight behind saying “yea i beat that guy first to 10 for three thousand dollars” as opposed to "yea i beat him first to ten"
also people are giving their all already in the actual tourney since theres money on the line but someones gotta lose and not everyones gonna get a chance to play everyone (sanford evo 2k6) mm settle this. Also LOL at your “stereotype” the only reason you brought this up is because of darkprincejr aka duc jr. if it wasnt for his little charade you wouldnt have conjured up your little fantasy world. if anything the reason that stereotype exists is because of the East Coast they like to MM everything. and so what? they’re just fucking hungry no reason to bitch about it
ggpo fucking troll
You were probably shitting in your britches during the glory days of Alpha. Valle was untouchable. You cannot compare Justin beating old schoolers to the possibility of Justin beating Valle, because Valle was better than everyone. Only Choi was at his level, one of the great rivalries in Street Fighter history.
I could give a shit about money matches, but I have been a Valle fan ever since I read about his victory at B3 in the SFA2 Versus book. I would love to see him in an epic battle with Wong, the best that the new school has to offer.
Normally i’m not that into this kind of stuff, but with the games that Vic has listed and the two champs in question, i think this would be amazing. A2 and ST are a must, cuz i honestly can’t think of any tournament match more intense than the Choi vs Valle finals at B3. I’d love to see Valle play A2 again and Justin has the advantage of seeing all of Valle’s old matches/tactics on youtube whereas Valle doesn’t know much about how Justin plays A2.
Someone mentioned MvC2, and that can be included, but it would be an auto-win for Justin and i really doubt that Valle would even waste time practicing. He quit playing Marvel when he stoped entering tournaments and never looked back. If the game selection looks biased in Valle’s favor then we can throw in MvC2 to give Justin a handicap, but it wouldn’t be fun to watch or anything.
Anyway i really hope this goes down. I’ll pledge $20 to pay both players ($10 each) if this actually happens. In professional matches, both boxers get paid right?
It seems to me like including A2 while excluding MvC2 is an attempt to stack the deck in Alex’s favor. Why have Alex’s best game while leaving out Justin’s best game? And the “A2 and A3 are distinctly different” argument doesn’t fly. HF is distinctly different from ST. 2I is distinctly different from 3S. CvS1 is distinctly different from CvS2.
A couple of other people have said it, but the best setup is one SF2 game (ST), one SF3 game (3S), one Alpha game (A2 or A3, I don’t really care which), one Marvel game (MvC2), and one CvS game (CvS2). That way, you run the entire gamut of Capcom fighting games with an even split between games Alex is favored in, games Justin is favored in, and one toss-up.
He obviously don’t know who Alex Valle is or he just have been riding Justin’s manhood for so long that he doesn’t know how to give other ppl their props when it’s due.
Alex V. A2/A3/ST
Justin W. 3S/CVS2
I believe that ST and 3S would be the best matches. I believe that ST old school is too solid to just think Justin will be able to walk away with it and Justin 3S is just beast. Alpha’s are in the air more then judge for me but I give them to Valle because Justin is coming into his world at that time way too much pwnge aura to combat this is Valle we are talking about. I still think Justin is one of the greatest players of all time. This battle reminds me of “What if Mike Tyson and Muhammad Ali fought a title match?”
