DCEU Steppenwolf isn’t comic Steppenwolf. IIRC Comic Steppenwolf is Darkseid’s uncle. The DCEU version seems like his brother because Darkseid imprisons him mother’s soul into the motherboxes in the comics from my recollection. So if the spirit in the boxes is Steppenwolf’s mother then, if they kept that aspect in the DECU, that would make her Darkseid’s mother as well.
I never liked that Steppenwolf was the main villain of the movie. He’s the dude that carries Darkseid’s bags. He shouldn’t be a threat to the Justice League.
he makes sense in the fact that this is a young justice league. any new god should body them.
the big problem is the fact they fear kryptonians. they never explained shit on this…because it implies they feared some sort of kryptonian protector previously…someone other than supes.

In the Man of Steel tie in comic, the ship that eventually becomes the Fortress of Solitude, brought Kara Zor El to Earth. One of the crew members went homicidal, she ends up killing him, and she is the lone survivor. At the end of the comic she leaves the ship and wonders off. They never explained what happened to her. When Kal El is on the ship and looks at all the pods, their is one empty one. That was Kara Zor El’s pod.

Makes sense. Yeah doesn’t explain why Darkseid fears kryptonians. Like did they have a run in with her, because they only get powered by yellow sun so I guess that would only be the explanation.
I doubt he straight up got beat up by kryptonian military at some point.
Not sure, She landed during the Ice Age. So who knows what happened. Snyder gave himself a wide berth with Kara. I was really curious as to where he was going. I often wonder what would have happened if WB butted out and let him do Man of Steel 2 instead ramming BvS down his throat.

I hope they’ll have time to get us attached to Barry first since it’s his movie, but still I’m really excited for Flashpoint.
That sucks because we already have 2 maybe 3 origin stories that went well (WW Aquaman Shazam). What’s the plan for post reboot? Replace Momoa and Gadot? Have the same origin story movie again?
This was always the plan originally. Because Ben wanted out and wb don’t trust cavill.
It gives them a excuse for getting rid of things they don’t like. Gadot and Momoa aren’t going anywhere. I wasn’t sure about Shazam but they are working on a sequel so that cast seems safe.

Shazam is part of the long term planning. They are gonna film Shazam 2 and black Adam back to back. They are also planning on introducing the justice society… The film version in black Adam
