Yeah I was thinking that somebody must have tested this already since it would be weird if no one had discovered it after two years. Most of the known loops are in the Sei’ei-Enbu specific thread.
I know the super thread has been dead for like 6 months, but any tech/things I learn/questions I have about super I will post there. I just posted some cool setups for midscreen that I’m not sure if people have yet to use.
For the midscreen I think the easiest is St.HP --> Lk Teleport and repeat
Yea the problem is you need to initially hit a point blank st hp to get it started. Also the dmg scaling keeps it ~250 I think. It’s actually still a decent option since you can most likely finish your last st hp into a cancelled mantis slash that you could possibly link sweep off of.
I don’t know if you could do like cr. MK xx HP slash and then do the cl. HP to get closer. Might be worth a try. Also I think if you do cl. HP xx Teleport then you can just do a sweep instead of the cl. HP and it should combo and if it doesn’t then you can always do a jab before doing the sweep.
I’m constantly experimenting. The weird thing is just the random pushback of attacks during super as well as the frame advantage after connecting with attacks followed by the shadows. Some characters will get pushed back too far to sweep, while it works for others under specific timing. I’m ultimately looking for universal simple damaging combos to sweep for all characters.
As is obvious, my ultimate goal is to do some combo into sweep while in super. Then I can set up Yangs 50/50 dp shenanigans. From there if the dp mixup works, I can connect either another dp or ultra 2. I typically start his super after confirming cr. mk to medium palm. There’s plenty of time to buffer the super while watching the crouch medium kick to medium palm connect. I then cancel the medium palm into super then immediately sweep after super recovery (it links). I then get a 50/50 dp mixup and I go from there.
What’s the difference with the slashes? I noticed I can EASILY mash out fierce mantis slash but have problems mashing the others out.
so uh, new yang stuff. new to me anyway

the second match he does a new super combo in the corner. saw him do it in another recent video. its basically land a hit then low forward teleport x (n)
from stand fierce palm super it does like 440 or something.
Haha great Yang player! It looks to me like that dude was just going nuts during his super since he slightly messed up his initial strategy he was going for when he activated it. I don’t even think he knew what he was doing at some point and thus whiffed the command throw attempt because he couldn’t keep track of what was happening. Yang’s super makes you so hype when you do it that you sorta forget your strategy and just go nuts some times!
Edit: I think I’ve tried the low forward tele loop. It’s honestly a very hard loop to pull off I think, at least for me. One fun loop to do that is easier is close hp tele loop, except you keep switching sides when you do it so be ready for that!
Where can I get reliable Yang frame data for 2012 AE? Eventhubs is too lazy to do their job.
Kyoku has been doing that for a while. Cr.mk xx LK Tele. It has really good damage.
Thanks bro, helped me out a lot. I’ve been doing mp > hp thinking it was safe at -3 but really it’s -7!
It has been nerfed to no more safe on block.

I first got 462 when all I did was the loop and started it from cr. MK xx MP Palm but when I ended the combo with cr. MK xx HP slashes I got 480 damage. With cl. HP it should be 10 more damage to the combo.
I’ve been doing the cr mk lk teleport super loop in the corner for awhile just because it doesn’t cross up like the hp lk teleport loop. I really don’t like how on the right the hp loop crosses up but on the left it stays infront, in the heat of the moment I end up messing it up
I have a question guys! I tried searching the SRK forum but I’ve had no luck, just a lot of badgering about divekicks. Does anyone have any suggestions for Meaty DK’s? Also what are some good examples for meaty/crossover DKs? After all the great information you guys have come up with especially with all the technical question I ask would this be ideal for yangs mixup? The only problem I have no is overextending my block strings and having a poor poor footsie game.
im surprised no one is talking about kyokus performance the other wow
Justin tweeted about some Yang tech “With the clone super they do a combo into MK and press HK and does MK early so the shadow hits late and they get a forced mixup from it.” Anyone have any ideas what this might mean? Could it be a combo into cl. MK and then a st. HK done so that the shadows hit meaty and then use the block-stun to do a mix-up or something like that?
That’s what i get from it too. It seems what kyoku was going for in those last 2 vids where he used senei enbu, but fucked up and did something that made absolutely no sense.
I can’t find those two matches at all, crappy internet where i’m at.
