I got on PSN after many days of letting my PS3 sit there… It’s probably been about 2 weeks since I really booted the system up and actually played games.
Anyhow, I’m trying to get onto the PlayStation Store and I notice the layout has completely changed since the last time I was there.
Frankly I HATE it… It’s harder to find anything whereas the previous version was fairly simple to navigate even if it wasn’t that elegant a site. At least I could actually find what I was looking for!
To add insult to injury – sorry, but some cliches are still appropriate --, I was able to connect maybe twice out of about ten attempts to get on. For some reason, the Store was just hanging and I couldn’t get past a plain blue screen with basic controller functions.
The store is HORRIBLE. The search is TERRIBLE… ABCDEFGH…U can’t even use the keyboard layout…U gotta scroll to find what you’re looking for. It’s lagging and it’s pretty much ghey.
I don’t know what Sony was thinking… Pretty sure they WEREN’T thinking!
This is similar to when stores reorganize all the product and do completely new layouts because a store/district manager thinks it’ll actually sell more goods.
It just ends up confusing and frustrating costumers and really doesn’t help sales; sure doesn’t make the shopping experience better for customers!
I have a vague feeling some project manager/programmers are trying to justify their existences at SCEA.
Somehow, it’s not working for me!!!
I hope the situation’s resolved within the next two weeks.
There’s actually a few things I’d LIKE to buy but can’t with the PS Store all @%@$#@ up now.
I agree. It’s annoying and it’s pissing me off. I had a hard time looking for a game title. I understand they want a new concept for their layout. But, for what reason? It isn’t like we wanna be impressed with new layouts. I just want the old stuff and make my shopping experience much easier.
