i’m mostly interested in s.lp and what crouchers it hits and how it can be used with its ‘new’ hitbox.
at capcom cup and ncr ultra demos, i noticed s.lp still isn’t as cool as i was hoping it would be. against a deejay, i could hit him crouching with s.lp, but if s.lp was second (eg, c.lk s.lp, or s.lp s.lp), it would always whiff, which really sucks. maybe it was deejay specific, but i’m guessing it isn’t.
yeah, i’m trying to avoid 1f links though. at least i’ll have c.lk s.lk c.mk as a 2f link now. that’s gonna be my go-to in most cases against crouchers i think.
I can’t wait for cr.short into cr.forward. Hell just her new cr.forward is gonna be great. I learned the game with ryu and juri so having the longest bufferable low special is exciting. Ex dive kick +1 is a god send lol. I still wanna hear about the horizontal buff to U2. I need to know how viable store U2 is on other characters.
After testing this character for hours she really is quite scary. The changes to far.st.strong and to cr.forward are really significant. Her st.jab still whiffs on crouchers like cammy/ibuki/blanka if you do more than 1 cr.short. ex.medium fireball for meaty pressure in corner with mixup is incredible. I personally think she has the scariest pressure in corner in the game currently.
Can’t think of everything currently, but I’ll post more of the changes I took note of while in training mode (yes they had this available and I abused it for hours)
I saw Kenny testing this and I did as well over the weekend at NWM. cr.short, cr.short no longer links into cr.mk. cr.mk is probably 6 frames now, but is no longer -5 on block. cr.short, st.short, cr.mk works on entire cast though.
Capcom really just needs to release a full changelog for each loctest, both online and onsite. Depending on people to figure out every little 1f change at a crowded test station in a 2/3 set is just stupid.
