Alright new thing I want Juri players to test. Today it looks like projectile characters have ways to setup an unblockable Ultra off of a throw. Need you guys with a version of SSF4 to test if a) this still exists in SSF4 and b) if Juri has the same capabilities with Ultra I and II. I suspect it might not work with her because of how much slower her fireballs are but it works with Rose and hers are pretty slow as well. Try every version of the fireball including EX Fireball.
If this works with Ultra I this would be the exploit we could be looking for to push Juri to broken tier. lol
I had my doubts and speculation, but look at 2:13 - 2:14, forward dash goes under fireballs and very fast. I don’t know what the hell they were thinking with Fei and Cammy but I could say this character is going to be pretty damn good. Not to mention how many other options and attack moves this character has even though they are not as prioritized or as fast but still many options.
Seeing how this character lacks a SRK prevents it from being OP I guess, though with that many options I don’t mind seeing how I used to play another character with a gimmick with possible slower dashes. Sure the low kick isn’t as long but the low kick fireball from Juri should hit low but with overhead kick sticks out in semi mid range.
The only thing missing though, would have to be a ranged counter move if they do anything far away. No real way of punishing since cannon drill > pinwheel and Ryu fireball > Juri fireballs. Besides that the ultra is very combo able and seems great for cross ups and just going straight up but lacks any forward movement, still top tier in a different way.
Why does DP matter if her EX Pinwheel does literally everything including AA? SRK is meant to be an AA and Juri’s EX Pinwheel serves that purpose and pretty much every single one imaginable. I’m calling god tier on Juri.
Yeah that’s an awful example. Anyway that unblockable ultra thing is pretty awesome. Not something I’d try with Kaisen, but I see absolutely no reason not to try it with FSE.
The only things I’m worried about is what other aerials she can cancel into dive kick and if we can have enough time to hitconfirm into the dive kick before hitting the ground If we can then I’m probably gonna end up using Kaisen over FSE.
