Don’t forget that these are ful Ultra’s, in a match you don’t get to normaly use a full Ultra.
I agree that she has low stamina based on the same issue.

Edit: Found a video on youtube that shows her special moves, it’s basically the same as the other videos but it’s just slower soyou get a more detailed view of her moves

The damage of T.Hawk’s Ultra against Juri is about the same that Ken does to Ryu.
This presents two possibilities:
- If Juri has low stamina, then T.Hawk’s Ultra II does weak damage.
- If Juri has average stamina, then T.Hawk’s Ultra does decent damage.
I’ll be betting that her stamina is as good as Ken or Ryu, to be honest.
So far I like her normals, the ones I saw at least, still need to see her standing MP, HP, MK, HK to make up my mind. As a TKD fighter she needs decent high kicks.
On the other hand I am appalled by her specials. In all of them she is stationary and controls limited space around her. The priority ATM is unknown but even with good priority the set of specials I’ve seen so far is seriously lacking.
That wouldn’t be a problem in other fighting games that have lots of movement options, but in SF even with her fast dash, I can’t think of a more stationary character in the game (k maybe Guile).
Nothing can stop a Blanka do his rolling attack over and over till oblivion. And unless her dash go under hadokens, she has next to nothing against projectile spammers.
Her taunt-backdash is one of the least useful moves in the game. What is the point of doing it? You can’t use it to punish, dackdash and jumping back are better retreat options, and why would you wanna retreat in the first place, when she has nothing from afar.
Stationary, with limited ability to control space equals failed character design IMO. Unless her normals or overall damage can make up for her disabilities, we are looking at a low tier for sure (how original for a Korean character :shake:). Even worse we are looking at a very boring character.
What I want to see is a move similar to Joe’s (Fatal Fury) slash kick (safe of course or what’s the point), in SF terms think of Balrog dash punch for effectiveness.
From the air something like B. Jenet’s (Garou) air kick series will be VERY cool, giving her excellent air control.
Also as a TKD fighter she deserves something similar to Ken’s f+MK. Seriously TKD without long range kicks looks stupid.
Lastly think this: wouldn’t be cool is she was a chain combo character? Think Dudley but with kicks. It would be spectacular to watch just like a real TKD fighter demonstrating. The fluid movements of SF4 would definitely compliment that.
No, it did about 60%. Since Gief’s Ultra (which presumably it has similar properties to) does 600 damage fully charged, it looks like she has completely average health.
if you look at the first couple seconds of the gamespot video and at 0:35 it looks like she has a normal that launches them up to the super. If that works for ultra too that means shes going to have a meterless way to land ultra. By the way the normal looks, it might be good for an AA too.
Juri’s Taekwon-Do (as far as it can be noticed) more resembles the movements of ITF or Taekkyon than Olympic style TKD, IMO. Compared to someone like Kim, this definitely leads to less focus on high or long-range dashing kicks.
we don’t know a thing about most of her moves, save that she has at least one cancelable low normal. we don’t know if her ultra has invincibility, whether she can forward dash from her counter, will Cartwheel beat Blanka ball, which moves are armor-breakers, what other specials she has outside of cartwheel/fireball/counter, does she have a kara-throw, what command normals does she have?..basically, don’t take her on looks alone.
EDIT: being that her super didn’t connect fully after the launch, an Ultra off that move is likely out of the question (unless there’s a possible FADC?)
If she has a Super>Ultra ability, it’ll most likely be a corner combo. I’m not 100% sure how it would work based on those vids.
im sure theres more of her specials… im wondering if priorities are really good though and what is cancelable and FADCable lol. and i like slashs idea. i really wonder if she can land super > ultra. i think thats something worth theory thinking about. that would be a shit load of damage probably. Specially it doesnt seem her fireball and her normals dont give good dmg output. if im wrong please correct me.
sweep, axe kick and fireball did pretty good damage to me. more importantly, EX fireball knocks down.

The regular cartwheel she does in the video does not; but on the other hand her counter animation starts just a bit before Bison starts to crouch for his jab. Looks like a decently safe move.
