It looks like an overhead too. Then again I think I saw overheadish move that looks like Ken’s B + MK. I think that the later whiff of the c.M(?)K xx Super is just from the fact that it’s a beta. Then again the 2 last hits which whiff are the 2 hits that make the most dmg/hit.

I’m jumping on the bandwagon aswell, because I loved all the TKD characters in SNK-games and she seems fun atleast in videos. :wonder:

Her playstyle looks really fun, I do love me a pixie style character. Hoping her execution won’t be horrible, but that she’ll be mid tier so that there won’t be a Juri army online :3

she kinda has this chun li feeling with a more forward momentum (I’ld consider Chun balanced between rushing and zoning with her normals)

I must know if that counter-teleport works on reversal/armor breaking moves, she could be a hit-n-run maniac if true!

haha. yea i think shes more do like a quick 4-6 combo then get out of and reset again…
i wonder if her DP is a tornado kick maybe?

I like the idea of the teleport-counter, alot of rushdowns can get stopped short by a ryu or sagat DP-FADC, even if blocked suddenly you’ve got a character that has monstrous damage and very high priority at a close range taking away your momentum

I am wary of her AA ability. Her EX cartwheel looks like a good panic button, but ex moves are inconsistently available. And I saw literally no moves with an upward angle, buuuuut there is the counter-teleport.

It looks like shes going to follow the chun/guile strategy of following fireballs and mixing up around it, but then evading with her dash or teleport to start it over again.

I believe this works well with the sf4 engine

She seems very very interesting. The 2 ultras, the quick moves. The dashes. Her moves recover really fast it seems though, decent ultra. But we don’t know anything about her…frame data, what we will be able to link.

Ono said he thought they made sf4 normal very balanced, until pros came and figured everything out even the developers didn’t know… I hope they did good testing this time >_>. I really dont want her to end up being god tier [Prob wont seeing her stamina], or maybe even top tier. I’d like a top-mid tier at most, that has weaknesses but unique things to her. (like abel or something)

Although people say they’ll main her now, but wait a little longer, since there are 6-8 more characters coming, including some favorites. People will probably change there mind right after lol.

But she seems very fun to play.

Yah that “parry”/fa/backdash thing is what we’ve been talking about, someone here said that it’s part of the new mechanics from the multi hit fa or something like that, so It could mean that everyone had this same fa/backdash thingy or maybe it’s different per character?

Juri seems awesome, I will be playing her when SSF4 hits. She is a really cool character and I hope the Koreans like her as well. I mentioned this in another thread but it definately seems she will be able to combo into her Ultra II. Her Ex qcf+k move seems to launch like an uppercut does so I’m already presuming you could FADC that into her Ultra II, which starts off as a series of spiral kicks upwards. May not get full animation though, but it would be better than nothing. :tup: One of the coolest SF characters designed in awhile!

I think that with the move you’re talking about you wouldn’t even need to FADC it, cause that move is more like a launcher, in one of the Thawk vids you can see that she does that move and it launches him up and she does a super, which means she has juggling properties after that move, so that’s why the super connected, in other words…Launcher to ultra? Yes please.

Well now that i think about it, it would be waay to easy to land her ultra like that, unless the launcher is something like uncombo-able, than it would make more sense.

If you slow down the video you can see an afterimage of butterfly wings as she dashes backwards, so it’s clear it’s some special counter.

Thinking about this a bit, this is what I was thinking.

Perhaps the EX is a launcher, kind of like Sagat with the EX uppercut into Super/Ultra, but regular TU you have to FADC. Perhaps she is the same way.

Regular Cartwheel kick>FADC>Ultra

EX Cartwheel Launches > Ultra

Yeah, just like how Balrog and Dudley are the same exact character. Good job capcom, making another boxer in third strike. /Sarcasm

It’s her “taunt” that she did earlier in the vid. If you pause at the right time then you’ll see a bright afterimage of her leaning forward and beckoning just like in the taunt. So, she has something like Dudley’s Cross Counter except when it’s activated she does a big backdash. Here’s to hoping that it recovers fast enough for the first hit of an EX fireball to activate it and she can block/avoid the second hit.
