I agree with you, more or less. Both are excellent VAs and both bring something different to the table. Reminds me of Tira in SC4 'cept the dub for her was horrendous
I feel you, although Dudley looks like he’s of the upper-middle class “posh” background so the fake accent would actually suit him. I too don’t know anyone who sounds like Cammy. I tell ya, it’ll be a real shock to Americans who come over here and discover we sound nothing like the crap they hear on TV
There’s 10 new characters coming out, what makes you think Juri will be liked more than the other 9? I see some nubbies herding to T.Hawk the same way they did to Zangief, same might be true for Hakkan if he turns out to be a grapple heavy character. Dare I say it, people might just play Guy because he’s a ninja and they watch Naruto too much, same true for Ibuki (provoding she’s in) and she’s a girl so that’s a double whammy right there

On an unrelated, thread related note, I love both of Juris voices, Jap and Eng. Would be epic if you could have them both on at the same time and it randomly goes between the two. Despite how silly that would sound. >_>
So guys, I was looking at the Ultra combo vids on the Capcom site and I notice that they cleaned up the geometry on her spider top (or at least the UVs). In the earlier builds, there was some fugly texture tearing, now it’s smooth from what I can tell (The video DOES have some hardcore compression on it, but I’m pretty sure it’s changed).
I thought the majority of people who want to play Juri were originally C.Viper players so in this instance we all go back to C.Viper lose some more, then we go back to a shoto. Unless what Seth Killian says is true and Viper is looking strong in SSF4 then I might just stick with Viper instead. In any case I doubt Juri is going to be extremely hard to use. Her design is nowhere near as complex as C.Viper’s and her normals have pretty good priority. Her normals can stuff a reversal DP, I think she’ll do just fine. She’ll be harder to use than a shoto but that’s not saying much since shotos were meant to be the easiest characters to use. Her pin wheel is just as spammable as a DP and may be in fact safer then a DP.
It’s the Juri Show now people. I’m liking the Juri/ Chun rivalry… it has nice symmetry.
Her voice acting can be slightly overdone at times as I think Juri should always sound very calm and collected as well as sadistic, condecending and naturally dominant. I’m so glad this character finally exists. Well done Capcom.
She’s shaping up to be a fine antagonist story wise as well. Instead of blocking the bullets with her LOLplotshield she should evade smoothly and perhaps even catch a few bullets between her fingers. Amusing to see her blowing up buildings as well. She seems on par with Bison in this anime.
I find this hilarious, all of the new characters threads filled with people worried/speculating that this character will be the new Ken, (future) Cody player’s thinking he will be the new Ken, Juri players, even T. Hawk players are worried he’ll be popular. Seriously, nothing will replace the shotos, except for another shoto. Besides Ken isnt as popular in SF4 online as he is in HD Remix online. Ryu is the SF4 Ken.
EDIT: Forgot to mention, for those of you saying Juri CAN do specials during Feng Shui, show me a video where she does a special besides counter. Chances are thats the only special she can do. I’ve seen a video of Justin Wong where he activated Feng Shui and looked like he was trying to do special but just got normals.
