I love her English voice, the only thing I don’t like about it is the “I’ll have my revenge!” :rolleyes: While most characters tend to moan and scream when they get hit, Juri likes to shout profanities at her opponent, the Japanese one does at least, not sure if the English does.

IMO, US VA is laking that bit of that maliciously condescending, mean spirited tone that her Japanese VA has.
Kari Wahlgren, the English voice actress, is awesome! She does a very wide range of voices in anime. To me, the English Juri sounds more sexy than evil as opposed to the Japanese Juri. I don’t know if that’s a good or bad.

Juri is the voice of Haruko from FLCL.
Can’t get any better ENG voice acting than that.
The English voice actress is kind of hit or miss. She’s good in some spots but is of kind bad in others. Watching both Trailers now I have to say her Japanese VA did a way better job IMO.
I’ve said it before:
English Juri - sexy and dominating.
Japanese Juri - malevolent and sadistic.
Take your pick; both actresses are playing out different sides of Juri’s character.
I’d say that the english VA is more mischievous than dominating.
But, in the end, we’re getting both in the game anyway.
I still don’t understand the need for dubbing when you can subtitle the original voice (wich, being made by people that perfectly understand what they are told to record has to be more accurate to the character’s traits)… I guess many people still like to hear their own language.
One day maybe dubbing will be made with the supposed natural language of each character by real natural speakers of these languages.

Speaking from experience, I’m from Britain and don’t know a single person who talks like Cammy.
They do that in Tekken. Which is cool, untill you realise even pandas seem to be fluent in a multitude of languages. >_>
Once SSF4 drops, Juri will be the new ken.
Ic an’t be the only one who thinks Juri’s laugh is a little annoying and that these few lines sound super cheesy in the trailer.

Juri and ken should never be in the same sentence unless it ends with Jurio whooping kicking, or raping Ken’s ass.
I think you got a point here. I will play her nonetheless. I waited years to have a Tae Kwon Do character in SF.
Juri will be too hard to use and take too much damage to be the new Ken. She also doesn’t have a flaming uppercut.
I suspect a lot of people will try to use her, lose a lot, then go back to a shoto because they aren’t willing to put the time in to get results with a new character.
