Liking the combo into activating, that’s some good stuff. I think trag might actually be taking a liking to Juri.

It requires Juri to be standing however. Oh what’s that, cl.HP forces stand? It’s pretty easy to do 2 or 3 reps in which half of her life is gone.

Someone tested if the ultra 2 works after the c.mk>FB release>fadc>ultra2 ryu & ken can do with her MK/HK FB stored? seems obvious but not see it yet on youtube/streams, not a good sign.

c.mk>low FB release>ultra 2 works, but you can’t hit-confirm into low FB release at the moment, so it’s impractical in-game.

Went back to page 80 and didnt see it mentioned, her kick portion of fireball will eat projectiles. Also ex pinwheel will go through them

If you didn’t know she also has a kara throw with st.mp.

So I played Juri a great deal today (about 6 hours or so… ) and here are my impressions (some of the things might have been mentioned already):

-Overall, I felt she had some really strong zoning tools in her Senpusha(fireball kick).
-Her cr.hp and cr.mp are both very strong AA’s, and can be canceled into Senpusha upon resetting the opponent which is really good since it’s another opportunity to store fireballs and zone your opponent.
-Low Senpusha is a good meaty attack.
-Overall, I’m really pleased with her Senpusha since it let’s her get in on any opponent with little to no trouble. Not only does it help her deal with turtles, and zoners but also against characters who try to out footsie her (e.g. Chun li). However, don’t expect to win any fireball wars with it (I’m sure everyone knows this by now).

-All of the Fuhajin are unsafe. I was reversal command thrown out of a spaced lk Fuhajin by both Gief and T.Hawk. Not all characters can punish a spaced lk.Fuhajin but be weary that it’s not spammable.
-Ex Fuhajin is a solid reversal and wake up.

-Her dashes are both very good. VERY good. Especially her f.dash.
-Her FA has deceivingly long range.

-As far as her normals go, her st.lp gives her a great deal of frame advantage on hit. Can connect to cr.mp/cr.mk xx fuhajin for a solid combo. However, it whiffs on most crouching opponents =(
-Her cr.hp is a GREAT AA and so is her cr.mp. Cr.mp seems to have good priority as well.
-St.mp seemed good.
-Cr.lp was… sub par. It seems outside of canceling onto itself, it left Juri with no significant frame advantage on hit. Couldn’t combo off it at all.
-Cr.lk x3 is probably her best hit confirm as of now.

-Despite having such a great dash and FA, her walk speed really hurts her in the footsie department. She might have some decent pokes but her walk speed really makes it hard for her to utilize them.Thank god she has Senpusha though.

-After getting in (which seemed very doable with Juri), I found that I really didn’t know how to keep the pressure on my opponent. I didn’t know what to do outside of spaced lk.fuhajins(situational), FA and overhead. I need frame data to really know what is best used up close. But overall, she seemed somewhat “lacking” when she got in on her opponent. I started to experiment with Senpusha when up close but still need to time to know if it’s a valid option. Will try it again tomorrow.

-As far as her Ultra’s go… I was mainly messing around with Ultra I since I found it really hard to combo into her Ultra II when my opponents stayed grounded. Though I did manage to pull of j.mp xx dive kick > Ultra II a few times. I could never make the best out of my time during the FSE but that’s due to me being inexperienced.

That’s my overall impression of Juri. She seems strong for now and has great potential. Unlike most characters, she didn’t feel as brain dead to use. Players have to work for their wins.

Yeah that’s one of her trials to combo off the overhead. They used LK though, I dunno how tight the MK link would be.

ye right, bout the timing: he told me that it was pretty easy, ok he did an mistake and record with CH @Random lol but after that he tested it without CH and he said its a little tighter but still easy enough - i think with plinking it will be no prob at all, so…

i thought all the time that only clk is possible after overhead but as i wrote before, he said cmk/cmp and chp AND chk connects!! (surprisingly) thats awesome.

That’s pretty good stuff, untechable knockdown off an overhead.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but you during FSE you can combo into overhead right? And overhead moves her forwards. Does that mean that we can do some FSE combo ending in OH, then link into more stuff? Because the OH>w/e resets the chain, which means you can start another combo from lights/meds.

Am I right on this?

Also, just how fast is her sweep? or just how much advantage do you have off overhead? o_o

i’ll be honest with you guys, i’m not a fei player, but if the infinite stays the way it is, i’m going to counterpick juri with fei for an easy win every time. i suspect ALOT of other players will do the same thing.

my biggest concern actually, is that if they do patch it out, its going to fuck fei over big time :frowning:

I suspect people won’t. If you want to win 'cause there’s an easy to perform infinite…then it’ll be boring. You might as well just not play in the first place. I’m probably wrong though. People would sit there all day and alternate two buttons over and over if it gave them a bunch of wins.

If it stays, and makes the matchup 9:1…I’d just set the controller down until the fei killed me…maybe I’d go get a snack.

fei is ass, if you can land that infinite you deserve to win
