Meaty low fb into overhead mix ups on an opponents wake up sounds beastly. She could quite possibly have a great Okizeme game. Maybe this could also be a solid FSE setup?

Score a knockdown > release low fb > activate FSE. Now your opponent is forced into block stun and is at the end of a vicious guessing game. You can go for an overhead , a cr.lk, a throw etc.

Wait WHAT?! Uh unblockables?

Pretty sure her fireballs don’t hit low for the above reason. That would make FSE just a little too good.

That’s interesting, though could Juri also:

  1. Dive kick while going backwards or ex dive kick jumping backwards?
  2. Able to dive kick near the ground into a ground combo?
  3. Ex fireball without having a charge?
  4. Does the ex dive kick go a lot further or even homing and work as some sort of air chicken wing + cannon drill?

As for a obvious downside, Juri would use that kick to charge, any decent Ryu would jump in with a hurricane kick or ultra, at the same time I guess it is nice seeing how they make the other person want to be more aggressive instead of spam.

Would it be possible to say,
combo - ex pinwheel which pops them up a little - ex fireball - ex dive kick - ultra? Without a cancel?

As for this tier thing, the character that is easy and powerful will always be top, extra moves for offenses not being formula like play is always mid tier at best unless they are also good at being able to turtle.

Seems to be very promising. Joking that the Custom Combo Ultra (Feng Shui Engine) basically makes her link all her normals into each other, kind of like Ryu in Street Fighter 4, but without requiring good timing. Spin Kick is excellent for pressure. Very complete, fairly powerful, and relatively simple character. Spin Kick is similar to Bison’s Scissor Kick or Sagat’s Tiger Knee in that it’s fairly safe on block. Pretty powerful. Custom Combo, just screwing around they got a 390 damage combo, and still had bar remaining. So her Feng Shui Engine can be very powerful once its potential can be fully discovered. You can probably land a few of those combos per Ultra. Land a combo once, get a knock down, do a mix up and then land another combo for another 300 damage (more or less)

390 with time remaining compared to the 420 we get from hit confirming Kaisen? Hmmm…

Plus you get mixup and a somewhat free momentum shift. Looks good for FSE.

390 seems a bit high. Thanks to that video Dragonfave posted it seems like you can get around 330 with a fireball (pre-stored of course), EX Pinwheel on the end didn’t seem to add all that much. Might be a corner only combo too.

Does FSE give an actual damage boost or does it just allow more attacks to be chained?

Yeah the pinwheel did awful damage due to it being scaled down so low. I have to wonder why they choose to use light attacks during FSE though. They already hit confirmed the combo with the jump-in so the light attacks could just be scaling the combo down for no reason. Also no FSE does not give a damage boost as far as I know.

Dive kick looks pretty safe it it hits right before she lands(from full screen)

Its so annoying to watch alot of these videos. People just play so randomly with Juri. I wanna see someone that doesn’t throw out Pinwheels like candy.

I’d like to know this myself

I’d like to think that Akuma and Ibuki will be her worst matchups. She doesn’t seem like a character that will get outright dominated by any one, but rushdown characters with good mixups will probably give her some trouble.

I doubt vortexes will be a huge issue for Juri due to her evasive counter moves.

Well for her counter move to activate they have to actually hit. He has demon flip throw, demon flip palm, demon flip palm whiff, etc. etc. Yes the counter takes away some of his options, but not all of them.

Though now that I think about it, I wonder if she’s invincible during her dash. Like if Akuma does an EX air fireball would she be able to use her upwards teleport to negate one and teleport through the other so she gets a free hit in. Would be pretty interesting if that were possible.
