Fireball is not good, its functional. Agree on leaving it alone tho.

She was initially sold as a rushdown tho, balanced with weak a Defence. All we got was adequate offense (at intermediate+ lvl play) with the same horrible Def. Hence her mid lvl status.
Love her to death, but shes a chore to use. Some days her strengths aernt worth all the effort.
Oh, and we all apologise for not being the mighty infiltration. Who mains Akuma if im not mistaken. that really speaks highly for his faith in Juri. Give the fellas nuts a rest.
Inflitration does use charecters for the fun of it. He’s gay. Incredibly, incredibly gay. He’s not going to touch anyone who isn’t a viable character, and its not like he’s the only one that’s had success with Juri.
Also, I don’t recall her being sold as a rushdown, just that was what everyone precieved because no one knew how to counter pinwheels.
I look foward to repping Juri as my seconday after arcade hits consoles. Yun of course will be my main, But Juri is one of those characters you can’t quit after learning.
About the fireball thing, in the first version of Juri we saw did the Kick (storing) part not cause knock down? If they removed knock down they could just give it enough stun to allow it to combo with the fireball.
I would like that and it would buff her damage out put a bit I think. Her AA fireball also juggles people so I guess you can Ultra 2 off of it or walk up and do a pinwheel kick. I don’t wanna inject any false hope here though lol.
that’s exactly what i was thinking when i heard about the AA fb juggle properties. these definitely open up new possibilties but i’m still waiting for a full invincibility ex pinwheel and faster walk speed. those are the only two buffs that i really felt juri needed. but the others are a welcome addition.
*A faster walk speed and less recovery on a whiffed low forward would be nice. Far lk coming out in 4 frames instead of 5 would be nice as well but other than that I can’t think of much I’d like to see changed for Juri in the arcade version. *
Faster and farther fireballs please. I would like it if her Ultra 2 was commanded like her super, but I’ve grown used to it. Juri could use a better throw range too.
I’m indifferent towards them upping her walking speed. If she gets it she gets it if she doesn’t then oh well. I feel like the people wants her to get the change in walk speed wants her to be a rush down character and she’s not.
The changes we have are good. The AA fire ball buff makes it riskier to jump in on her (provided she can do anything with the juggle) which makes her zoning game stronger.
Her fireball store kick not knocking down and being able to combo into is great. This probably means a damage buff (wishful thinking probably) to her bnbs. She wasn’t a high damage character before without some meter idk its good not having to grind sometimes.
*I already play her aggressively so faster walk speed has nothing to do with that portion of her game. However when it comes to footsies I feel like shes lacking in that apartment the most and I believe it’s because of her walk speed. In my scrubby opinion I think the majority of her normals are all tailored to shine in certain situations and none of them really shine in footsies outside of far mk and occasionally far hk/lk. The downside on her normals for footsies tend to feel for me that either start up and/or reach is nothing exceptional or recovery is heavy. If she walked faster than grapplers (her current speed) her midrange game would be better and that could circumvent her normals drawbacks.
Which falls in line with the other two things I’d like to see tweaked with her. A sped up far lk would come out pretty quick and have good range and less recovery on whiffed mk wouldn’t make whiffing it playing footsies be almost on par with whiffing a sweep. *
Looks like it’s the fireball kick launches people so you can juggle it. Some people on the Japanese forum said it’s confirmed you can fireball kick -> ex pinwheel or fireball kick -> lp fireball release
Also it looks like the walking speed is buffed.
I’ll take that too lol. This is good stuff. And yeah, I’m sick and tired of having to use that dumb cr.lk, st.lk, cr.mp all the time just to get ok damage without a fireball so the increased comboability is great news.
