Juri Frame Data

I’ve seen ex shoryuken go through wakeup ex pinwheel. Guess I will record my tests of it and upload them. I’m curious to see how you tested her invincibility.

Just tested it as well. It’s true you can just meaty her with normals and she’ll get counter hit out of it every time. tried lows and standing attacks to see if it has a crush property, no difference. Still projectile invincible though. Was this patched or has it always been the case?

Maybe I fucked up my test then. ._.

I will retest when I go home.

Her hitbox seems to move back quite a bit so some attacks will just miss her. Make sure what you are real close when you test.

Can’t you get grabbed out of it too?

I think the move works the same as SF4, it has some invul, but mostly it just shrinks her hitbox really tiny making it hard, but not impossible to stuff.

If i charge senpusha and release it after the flash, is it safe on block? Also is it just the same properties as an EX?

After alot of tag ins ending in the corner once i get a knockdown i like to charge a senpusha and then release it as they get up to tag out into more block pressure, just wondering how safe this is? Backdashing early seems pretty good for catching jumpers and wake up reversal mashing types.

So Im a total noob at this game.
Is -3 safe on block?

-3 is punishable by moves that have 3 start up frames or less (aka shoryukens, some jabs/shorts and some supers).

-3 is safe vs anything that has 4 start up frames or more.

Just to add to this. You also have to consider push back on block. For example, Juri’s Fuhajin(fireball store) is -3 on block, but can’t be punished by reversal dragon punches because of push back. Juri’s fireball store can be punished by Akuma’s reversal Raging Demon, Julia’s Super, and Zangeif’s reversal super.

Another example of push back making something more safe is Law’s Fury Fist Rush, it’s -5 on block, but because of the push back it’s safe from all 3 frame Dragon Punches, except Ken’s EX DP when Law is cornered. The EX DP will get blocked mid screen.

The best way to see if something is safe is by testing it in training mode against moves with fast start up frames.

You seem like a good juri player.
DO you know any safe blockstrings? I cant seem to create good pressure with Juri or any good blockstrings :
Im really focusing on Juri in this game too

Im pretty average to be honest, but I can give you some basics.
The only truly safe block strings are things like chained light attacks into themselves for example cr.lk, cr.lk, cr.lk, or cr.mk xx fireball release. There is no way to reversal through that.

You can also try basic things like:
cr.lk, cr.lk, cr.lk xx fireball store.
cr.lk, st.lp, st.mp xx fireball store.
cr.mk xx fireball release, st.mp xx fireball store
Replace the fireball store with a pinwheel if your attacks hit(this is called hit confirming)

A very important part of Juri’s pressure is storing and releasing fireballs. Try storing fireballs from a safe distance or at the end of block strings, and then start using that stored fireball in your next string or use it to zone your opponent.

The best advice I can give is to watch videos of good Juri’s to get a feel for how she plays. You should also look at AE video’s because her play style is still very similar, she just has a few more options in SFxT.

When youre saying fireball store. Do you mean the Fuhajin? I think that move is particularly safe.
Ill apply those blockstrings that youve given me. Thanks :3

The fireball store is when she kicks her leg up(this is -3 on block), the Fuhajin is the fireball projectile itself(this is +4 on block).

Patch may 16th will change Senpusha (pinwheel) frame data on block.

Lk Senpusha -5 on block (standing) Was -2
Mk senpusha -10 on block (standing and crouching) was -7

Shikusen (dive kick) will also have less pushback on block.

Why they wanna make Juri so unsafe all of the sudden?
