Juri Combos: What works on who?

Yeah, I see what you mean. It’s like hitting someone in the air with Ryu’s MP and following with his super, slight delay if they are too high. I am not getting the ex dive on the way down perfectly, but I guess unless there is a trick to it, I’ll just need to practice the timing.

Just to clarify, I didn’t mean that you should cancel j.MP into EX Shikusen. You can land and then do it with a TK motion.

Oh ok. So land the j.mp then jump again and do the ex Shik follow it up with Ultra 2… I’ll have to try it when I get home.

TK refers to the classic Tiger Knee motion: d,df,f,uf. The term is now used to mean doing the motion for a special move on the ground and then jumping and pressing the button in order to do the move very low to the ground. It’s pretty easy to do with Cammy, but the timing is a bit tricky with Juri due to the height restriction on Shikusen.

I think I am going about it wrong or something. Is there a video showing the buttons or a better way of explaining it. I do the option before leaving the ground but nothing but a kick comes out.

There is a height restriction on Shikusen, so you have to delay the button press for it to work.

is this section gonna get a re haul due to AE? If so, shouldn’t a new page be made up for it?

Alright, I decided to be* useful to this forum for once *and try out doing the Fireball kick store (which kick doesn’t matter obviously. I’m only stating so incase someone new asks) into Ultra 2 mid-screen. When you are mid-screen, you really have to be in their grill though.

Fuhajin > Ultra 2. Here is who it works on (ABC Order):

I implore others to try the characters not listed here. There is a chance there is one or two characters I wasn’t able to perform it on after doing it ad nausea (I.e. Rufus and Guy seemed to just miss). I went back and tried Ken after trying him over and over again, and got it to land. While my ability to perform negative edge has increased dramatically, I’m still new to it compared to some of you. I did some pretty extensive testing on this over the course of 3 days, so I think I’m spot on with this list.

A small note is that I also found out that the kick store works as an Anti-Air against neutral jumps and can lead into ultra 2. I didn’t test it on the whole cast, but it worked on all the Shotos and Ibuki for example. I imagine if it works on them on the ground, it works on them as it is an AA to Neutral Jump. But depending on the attack, you might get burned for trying it.

As my list stands, it works on 15 of the 39 characters…not the best number in terms of percentage, but it is an option.

So, did some AE testing. Nothing thorough, I usually tried only the 4 new characters and some weird chars I knew, but at least its some new info:

-Verified st.LP does not hit any of the 4 new characters crouching (no updates to OP)

-E.Ryu’s and Oni’s fireballs cannot be dashed under.

-cr.MK xx LK Fuhajin release > cr.MK xx Pinwheel hits all 4 new characters standing midscreen.

Far HK hits crouching:
Outside FSE: hits universally Oni, E.Ryu, Yun, Yang
In FSE: Oni (only hits crouching non-blocking Oni, and whiffs during combos)
Also Sakura moves from weird character status to being hit crouching always (non-FSE, still never hits in FSE)

I was planning to do some initial testing of cr.MK xx Fuhaijn store > release midscreen, but it turns out its pretty complex. Most characters have a tendency to get hit by either MK store > release or LK > store release. Distance matters, raw LK fuhajin store > release might hit, while cr.MK xx LK Fuhajin store > release would whiff, or if that hit, cr.HP xx LK Fuhajin store > release might whiff.

Initially I noticed the following tendencies, but eg. Yun gets hit by MK store > release if done point blank without any moves, but cr.MK xx MK Store > release whiffs.

Yun: LK
Yang: LK
Oni: LK
E.Ryu: LK
C.Viper: MK
Gouken: MK

I guess it would have to be made into some kind of “ease” ranking of how easily the LK hits with different pushback amounts (I’m not sure how relevant the MK data is, its pretty uncommon to go for MK store)

I noticed the fireball store shit too, its kinda lame, but at the same time ill never just be right up in their grill and do fireball store, and if i did cr.hp, i would most likely be looking to use pinwheel, so really the only thing that matters is cr/mk/mp xx fireball store xx lk fireball, where if lk whiffs you need to use mk.

Ive done all the AE testing on all the new characters and done the fireball juggles and pinwheel juggles on everyone, ill update it when i have alot of free time.

Testing the new LP hitbox to see if it hits on other crouchers not mentioned in the OP, the results are bizarre and mostly useless:

Seth: Hits on its own and during block stun, but whiffs during hit stun, so the BNB whiffs.
Dee Jay: Hits on its own on a specific frame of his crouching idle animation, can’t be comboed into, completely useless I guess.
Guile: Hits during hitstun, so the BNB works, s.LP needs to be timed well to actually hit though, otherwise it’ll whiff.
Fei: Same as Seth: Works but BNB whiffs.

And that’s it. deice already tested the new characters and the characters mentioned in the OP still get hit by it, only notable change is Guile.

Arcade Edition Update:

-New Section for Normal xx Fireball Store xx Low Fireball, added to the mix, its for midscreen, works on everyone in the corner, people it doesnt work on midscreen you can either keep your fireball or do mk fireballs instead.
-Guile can now be hit with Light punch on crouch, the BnB works on him.
-New characters; Oni, Evil Ryu, Yun and Yang tested and added for everything.
-Updated Spreadsheet for all the new information available.

Be careful. I bet some of the normal xx store xx release will work on more characters depending on the normal used. I personally when I played against computer Adon at Chinatown Fair had success with getting some to hit with certain buttons.

Has anyone done research into Jumping MP into characters that are focus attacking? I’ve been trying to use J.MP in case they whip out FA then I can dive kick. Sometimes I whiff, sometimes I hit. There’s a lot of testing that needs to be done in order to figure it out. I see these factors going into this:

Sorry if this has come up before, I pretty much live on these boards and I don’t remember seeing this mentioned before.

I’ve tried this, and I don’t really think it’s a good idea. I would generally just use j.HP, then land and do EX Senpusha.

Some focuses just straight up win against j.mp x dive, I want this to be something that works ALL the time, but unfortunately it doesn’t. Best case scenario is when you can get j.mp to get focused, and the dive to whiff, that way you get their focus to whiff and a big punish.
