June 10th - Tapioca Express SSFIV AE & MVC3 Tournament in Elk Grove, CA

Ill be there for sure and can bring my system as well. Ill probably get there a tad earlier for any setup needs.

All right since Xion confirms, as a result, there is no need to bring my ps3 since he has both games.

Being a CRT computer monitor, it’s too big carry unfortunately. :frowning:

wahhhhhhh 360?!

Yup, 360. PS3s will be available though, so…

Tentative format
XionV’s PS3 / Rodney monitor: Marvel
Romeo PS3 / Romeo monitor : Marvel
SSCase 360 / SSCase monitor: Marvel

200yen 360 / Romeo monitor: AE
Pieguy 360 / Pieguy monitor: AE

Sorry for the late reply. Thanks for the offer - I think we’re OK on setups, but we need a monitor. Is the TV pretty big? Space is a bit of a luxury at the venue.

Ser you guys there, long drive ahead of me.

It’s around 19 inches i think. Lemme know if i should bring it

Actually, I’ve a friend who should be bringing his monitor, so it should be fine. Post has been updated.

See you all in a bit!

i had fun today, sucks nobody came through. After i lost to 200yen i didnt care about the tournament anymore.

Dunno about NOBODY, but I’d say attendance was … OK. Shoutouts to the twins for being broken, Ray finally ending Tinh’s 4 win Marvel streak, and out-of-towners Pavo and Stockton crew for making the drive to our tournament. Also, thanks to those who came through providing equipment and stuff. NCR next weekend, and Evo next month!

Next TapEx will be either July 1st or July 8th. I’m going to post in the Sac thread and see what might be better for our players.

Also, if anyone is having issues with the spoiler tags in the previous results on the first post, I’m aware of the issue and am trying to find workarounds. I’ve posted in the forums and I’ll try to have it fixed when I can.

Was my first tournament and had fun even tho I was stomped hard in MvC3 and many mistakes in SF but definitely look forward to the next and hope to put up a lil better competition. Ill try to bring more players next time.

yea my 1st time going too… the event was dope! thanks for throwing it and i plan on going more often. yeee!

Hey… so if anyone took an eS backpack at the venue… that was mine and it had my toothbrush and clothes in it :frowning:

No way. I was weary with my Ps3 there with it sitting in my backpack since it wasn’t set up because of no outlet. I hope your stuff shows up.

Alright, so yesterday was a huge wake up call for me. Most of my fighting game experience is coming from Xbox Live, and I now I see thats huge mistake. I was wondering if anyone out there can show me the ropes with fighting games in general. Even if someone can hop online with me and show me some things, because quite frankly I SUCK!

But I had alot of fun even though I was watching from the back, It was amazing to see really good players. I learned alot just watching!

You and me both SSC. Im not all that great myself but I learned some new things and I already knew going into it I was gonna bomb at marvel and in ssf4 i went with a new character than my usual(yang instead of juri, second match i did juri but got anxious trying to go for fast win instead of playing my normal way by baiting). For me it was more getting involved in the tournament scene and playing new people. Win or lose my objective was to have fun and didn’t know where i was until i came out. I went for 2 reasons, to see where i was at and to see how things are setup since i also have a place i can hold tournaments at. My only problem now is having low or no lag monitors available since i now really see the difference it makes.

Twas found. Mr. Marc left it at a friend’s GOOD JOB MARC

I’d say it’s unlikely for your stuff to get stolen, but if you’re ever uncomfortable, ask Sang (the guy that works there who also plays) to put it behind the counter. I thought you didn’t show up, man! I was bummed out. Who were you?

Glad to see you could come out. Lag really does make a difference, so do your research if you’re going to buy one for fighting games.

Matt(Psn XionV) the guy at the bottom of all the brackets. Gotta get your feet wet before jumping in. lol. I did ask about setting up the ps3 but there wasn’t an extension cord at least thats what I was told. I was practicing a little bit before the tournament but not as much as I wanted to. Work and the some of the guys I play with were busy and other friends tend to only play black ops(boo) which I have stopped playing. One of my friends wanted to come out but he had to take care of his restaurant. He’s quite good and even though he beats me bad I get better each match I have with him. I have been researching the whole input lag thing for a while and of course looking to get the same ones that were used there not only for those games but could use a new computer monitor as well for the new rig I’m building. I was kinda worried about my stuff for maybe 5 minutes but its hard not to spot out my green and black throwback circuit city xgames backpack. I’ll be there again next time.
