[LEFT]Darkstalkers will never die, and as evidence we present to you Darkstalkers: Death & Rebirth. Coming June 15th & 16th to Arcade Legacy in Cincinnati, OH, Darkstalkers: Death & Rebirth will be two full days of Vampire Savior action fit for both veterans and newcomers alike.[/LEFT]

First we must experience Death. On Saturday, Dante’s Inferno will reemerge as the most intense Vampire Savior event in the United States. Eight separate qualifying events will show how single elimination, single game brackets push players to the limits of adaptation and split second decision making. For new players we offer the chance to hone their skills in the Rookies’ Tournament, while veterans can enjoy a 3v3 Team Tournament. Finally, the Character Specialist Exhibition will pit two teams of eight against each other to showcase Vampire Savior’s unparalleled roster of monsters, succubi and more.

[LEFT]Of course the Darkstalkers will not lie still for long. On Sunday we will witness Rebirth, beginning with a Vampire Hunter tournament open to all. Vampire Savior will then make its appearance as the main tournament of the day, with a traditional double elimination format. Treachery soon follows as the Top 8 qualifiers from Dante’s Inferno will compete in the finals bracket; still single elimination, single game. The stakes will certainly be high for those players, but perhaps not as high as for our second, and final, exhibition. The High Stakes Exhibition will pit players against each other where a loss can mean a serious dent in their wallet as well as a blow to their pride.[/LEFT]

Grudge matches will be sought after throughout the weekend and we expect players to accept the challenges that come their way. It does not matter if you are new to Vampire Savior or not, at Darkstalkers: Death & Rebirth you will learn why the excitement has never left and why the Darkstalkers cannot die.[/details]

Arcade Legacy will be fully open to the public during Darkstalkers: Death & Rebirth, and your entrance fee allows you to enjoy the arcade’s offerings for the entire day!

PAYOUT & BONUS

    • Dante’s Inferno - -
      Each qualifying player will receive 1 limited edition D&R poster. Details TBA. No duplicate posters will be awarded to previous winners throughout the weekend, with the only exception being the Team Tournament.

The winner of the Ninth Circle (Treachery) will receive a one of a kind trophy for D&R 2013.

    • Rookies’ Tournament - -
      1st Place will receive 1 limited edition D&R poster.
    • Veterans’ Team Tournament - -
      1st Place team will receive 1 limited edition poster per teammate. This is the only tournament where duplicate posters will be awarded to previous recipients.
    • Vampire Hunter - -
      1st Place will receive 1 limited edition D&R poster.
    • Vampire Savior - -
      1st Place: 20% of the event’s net income, 1 limited edition D&R poster, and a one a kind trophy for D&R 2013.

2nd Place: 12% of the event’s net income.

3rd Place: 6% of the event’s net income.

At the 32-49 entrant level, 4th Place and the two 5th Place players will all receive $10 a piece.

Our projections for event net income will be posted here, along with estimations of VS Singles payout based on our Goal Level for event attendance.

Goal Level = 32-49 entrants = $480 - $735 estimated net income after venue and equipment rental, but before poster, trophy, and promotional costs.

1st Place based on the above: $96 - $147

2nd Place based on the above: $58 - $88

3rd Place based on the above: $29 - $44

    Each participant will be allowed to enter a limited amount of tournaments.
    Winning participants are not allowed to enter any more Inferno’s.

Player entrant equation:
(8) separate (32) person brackets = (256) total entry positions.
Dividing (256) by the total player number and rounding down to the nearest whole number.
00-32 players = 8 entries per player
33-36 players = 7 entries per player
37-42 players = 6 entries per player
43-51 players = 5 entries per player
52-64 players = 4 entries per player

I’ve been wanting to go to a real VSAV tournament for years now. Unfortunately, I’m not much of a traveler and I would have to decide between this or EVO. Whatever the case may be, I will support this tournament as much as I can!
