St. Maarten was certainly the place to be for all-stars and underdogs alike. The Video X Games first major went off without a hitch. It had a lot of surprising upsets with some of the world’s familiar talent and great memories. With this grand event sporting tournaments of all genres, players (casual and competitive alive) gathered from all over the world in order to test their mettle against each other in order to prove themselves (and to others) that they are the top player in their respective field. Halo, Call of Duty, NBA 2k, and of course our grand ol’ fighting games such as Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition Ver. 2012 and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

Now that Video X Games has since passed, Dominion Method Gaming has been working closely with the organization in order to make next year’s event one of the greatest in the tournament series’ history, even topping the grand success of this year’s iteration. From the plethora of tournament games they will offer to the efforts made to reach out and give back to their respective competitive communities, VxG plans to have more in store for 2013 than ever before. So what we have in mind is a sort of ‘tournament series’ that will be leading up to the grand event in St. Maarten, tentatively titled ‘The Road to Video X Games 2013’.

The grand stage at the end of this major tournament circuit will be held at the Sonesta Maho Beach Resort & Casino. If you haven’t been here, this would be the perfect excuse to go. When you’re not playing games, go and relax at the sandy shores of Maho Beach while taking in all that beautiful sunlight.

Any estimate on the time frame the flight/hotel/etc packages will be released to the public? Heard about it from a DMG player and how he didn’t get robbed out there so a vacation wouldn’t be so bad, just gotta plan it out early enough for work.
