My mvc2 TE joystick doesn’t work anymore, I can jump, move left, move right, but cant crouch? what should I do? should I buy a new joystick part and if so, whats the part called? or is the stick dead now? just bought it 2 months ago

Ok, do you have a metric 4 hex key available to open up the TE? You can try checking if the TE harness is fully plugged in.
If the switch is the problem though you can just buy a replacement PCB.
OR
Just contact Madcatz and send it in for a replacement.
It could also be a PCB problem. I’d suggest contacting madcatz first, since you bought it pretty new.

If your warranty sticker is in tack, maybe its worth contacting them.
Because if you open it and it becomes more than a simple fix that costs you more money, madkatz can’t do much if you’ve voided the warranty sticker!
but otherwise, my stick wasn’t working last week. I opened it to find that the connector came loose, and plugged it back in with a little tape.
ive only opened this stick twice to put in an octagonal gate and to put back my square (octagon was great but it was hard to block) and it was working after i put the square back in now it doesnt crouch, when I open it up, I dont know what to look for to see whats messed up, im new to fightsticks, ill call madcatz
called them, took about 30 min but the guy is sending a joystick part and I have to install it myself, someone give me a video link that shows how to do that, cant find anything useful when I search on youtube
Can you take a picture of the JLF?
If the guy is just sending you the PCB all you have to do is take off the restrictor gate, pull out the PCB and replace it with the new PCB.
