I have read that maybe this is possible if there is a hard training in fighting game, me too after the everyday training i have some pain at arms. To someone happened?
Yes. It happened to me.
It sucks because it compromises your execution in execution-heavy games like Guilty Gear.
I play with a PS2 pad though, not a joystick.
I find the pad more painful
I get sore thumbs and such with pads, I find joysticks tend to cause me much less discomfort.
I know one key fact to using any input device is to learn to do it as gently as possible. This relieves a great deal of pressure off your fingers.
you will never get any kind of discomfort with sanwa sticks
Every 50 minute of play, gamers need 10 minutes of rest. Everyone’s heard of it before, but not that many people will do it. It’s important though.
what is sanwa sticks?
The way I see it, if your hand\wrist\fingers aren’t hurting after you train, you’re not practicing hard enough. No pain no gain?
and yea, it is important to take a break every hour but imo, that depends on the game. For a game like mvc2, yea, you basically gotta take breaks but say for ST, I can play 2 or 3 times longer because the execution isn’t as much and it takes longer before my hands start going crazy on me.
schofield barracks is located on oahu iirc right? those are my SF roots!!
Had my fair share of back aches years ago.
Now I just have a thumb callus. :wasted:
Japanese stick, ball top style usually. I play for hours on end and really never experience any discomfort or pain.
p360’s kill my arms…I don’t take breaks either.
I play for hours and hours (sometimes days) without much breaks…but if I had Comps it’d be all cool, but them fuggin 360’s…urgh!
you’re in osaka, right?
sanwa is pretty much the standard brand for sticks and buttons found in most arcade machines in japan
you can get it in hori real arcade pro (and other variations of it) for your consoles as well
Hell, your P360 had my hands hurting after just a few matches in Alpha 3. I can go for over an hour easily on my HRAP2 though thanks to the layout of the buttons and the Sanwa stick. The buttons layout is much easier on the hand than the straight across American style.
