Joy2key? Xpadder? X360ce? All Junk. Use this!

There is no such thing as No Lag, iT is a matter of how much lag.

One thing to remember when using Joy2key, for anyone who uses it anywhere, the DEFAULT Settings have 20-25ms of input lag in all games! You can verify that with elite keyboards switchhitter. To bring joytokey down to <4ms of input lag, set the processing speed to X16.

Hardly anyone seems to know this.
But yes, the driver Xoutput works very well also. Haven’t tested the DLL drop-in as I do have an xinput controller.

Edit.

Got it working.

Has anyone been getting random slowdown (especially on Story Mode) since the last update?
DLL imput drivers (like X360CE and XOutput) have been causing dropped imputs now. I use Joy2Key now, and that works

System specs (Gaming laptop)

i7 core
Nvidia 980M 8GB
Windows 7 Service Pack 1

Running off SSD drive

Running 1920x1080 max everything

Any thoughts?

What do you mean dropped inputs? Are you talking about slowdowns? Story mode? What does slowdowns have to do with dropped inputs ? Please explain. You sound like you’re combining two different issues into one issue.

It takes work for me to test out these drivers and getting other controllers isn’t the most convenient thing to do when I am dealing with a back disability, so I want to make sure I’m not wasting my time. I don’t mind helping as long as I’m not chasing ghosts here.

Sorry if I wasn’t clear. Basically after the last patch (1-JULY for storyline patch) both X360CE and Xoutput have been lagging for me (in game) and there has been dropped inputs. I don’t know why, it’s only with the all of the DirectImput ones where you put the DLL files in the Street Fighter V directory with the exe file. I don’t know what is causing this. Dropped inputs basically in-game slow down/ stuttering which makes button presses not to be registered. I was testing this all on training mode

I used Joy2Key instead (and removed the dll files) and it seems to work without the lag and dropped imputs so I have been using that instead. I am using the new PS4 Hitbox

If it’s a pain in the ass to diagnose, don’t worry about it

Read the edited first post, just use the dll files from the github link.

The dll files remove the need for any external program, whatever you have should just work now. Dump all the programs, just use the dll files and if you have an issue tweet https://twitter.com/WydD and https://twitter.com/dantarion

While you can do smashbro29’s “SF5dinput” workaround, you again seem to be mixing two issues together.
Xoutput does NOT require dropping any DLL Files into the game folder.
Only x360CE does.
You talk about “DLL replacements” and “Xoutput” being a DLL replacement, when Xoutput is not a DLL replacement. It’s a driver. So I want you to test XOUTPUT first, with the DLL files REMOVED.

Can you confirm that if you REMOVE the DLL files from the game folder, then install Xoutput, set up the controller, press “Start” and then play with xoutput running, you do or do not get the slowdowns in training mode?
I’m actually going to use xoutput right now on my UFB in PS4 mode and test this.

Just ran “Xoutput 0.11” with PS4 mode on my UFB.
Had no problems doing chun lis difficult combo Cr LP+neutral MP+CR MK+SBK (a very difficult snap fast charge after the standing neutral MP), two in a row. im playing 1v1 now.

Edit
Just did an hour of matches with Xoutput 0.11 running in Brook UFB+PS4 mode (no x360 or any other DLL drivers installed in game folder). No missed inputs, no lag.

Ok, I tried Xoutput for almost 2 hours yesterday, and 1 hour the day before, and it seems to be good and consistent

Excellent

Nice. Xoutput works well and is a generic solution that works for multiple games, although very few games require an Xinput only controller.

The SF5Dinput method also works (I tried it), but is just for SF5. This requires less work since you just drop in those DLL’s and just play.
I stopped using X360CE long ago. I found that between “Xoutput” (For directinput controllers) and “XInput plus” (for xinput controllers, e.g if you wanted to set deadzones on an Xbox 360 pad, or remap the LT/RT as actual buttons instead of a split Z axis), those cover me fully.

I didn’t try yet, but with the Xoutput, I should be able to use 2 controllers at the same time on my computer right?
I’m on PS4 Hitbox (Player 1) and my brother will be on PS4 Dualshock (Player 2)
I haven’t tried nor set it up yet, but I’m thinking it should work with just the 2nd entry for assigning buttons, I think.

I don’t know, sorry. I think there’s an arrow or something it can but I never did that. I don’t have more than one directinput controller. Why don’t you try it for yourself?

Hey guys, I have tried to get SF5DInput working with my HORI RAP N3-SA but had no luck with it. I extracted the 6 files and the folder with 5 files from the SF5DInput-master zip and put them in the Win64 folder in the Street Fighter V directory just like the instructions claim. When I start the game, I get no response from the controller. Am I missing something here? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I’d tweet at the guys who made it, they’ll usually reply quickly.

My TE stick is detected through USB, but it doesn’t register inputs. Will I have to pick up a PCI 2.0 card to get it working?

Same for me. I dropped all the files and nothing happens

plz help guys am playing sfv on pc with my te2+ and my stick stops recognizing my inputs, which forces me to get up run to my desk and click the mouse smh. please let me know what program would be best

Does XOUTPUT 0.11 work?
Xoutput should work no matter what. Have you tried it? If SF5Dinput doesn’t work or register anything, try Xoutput. Make sure you set up your keys and start the driver after installing it.

how do i set the keys accordingly i dont know what button is what in the menu

You don’t know what the buttons correspond to on your controller?

Use /open / run joy.cpl (game controllers) devices and printers/controllers then and just go by button numbers.
