those matches were a little lackluster…CH to ST has to be used as a punish at every opportunity. standing RH, throw, and slide are weak punishes. vega has a lot of really useful normals besides cr. mp as well like pedo said. and definitely try to implement kara throw in your game if it isnt already. finally, backflips are terrible except for avoiding ultras/supers. backdash is godlike.
KKK flip is great for when opponents use OS after a jump in. Back dash loses to cross up attempts.
Which is why I don’t like posting here as often anymore.
Though, maybe these people would be singing a slightly different tune of all the matches were posted? Word on the street is that the games went 7-10.

even if it was 7-20 i still would be disappointing with the use of buttons that i saw.
No point in posting every match cuz let’s be real. No one is going to watch every single match. You really going to watch nearly 20 matches? I know I won’t. And that’s just me vs one claw player. Nearly 20 matches with several? Nah nah. I’m good with posting 4 to 7 matches I think. Also 7-10? Yes in my second set with Mask Terror it was 7-10 me. But that’s not the set those matches are from. Those are from our very first set…and…well… the final score wasn’t so close. Imma leave it at that.

EDIT: Another thought. Why is there so much complaining and whining about how awful someone played? I mean, wouldn’t it be more beneficial if “mainers” would break down the video(s) by pointing out proper punishes to certain setups they are getting abused on instead of just saying “oh, he’s awful”?

The purpose of this thread was to do some match analysis but judging from those videos…the vega players played very poorly, especially on the punishes so it shouldnt even be considered to be used for a good matchup analysis.
As for the tourney stuff, i may have never “won” a tourney but i’ve placed 2nd, 3rd etc etc back in the days against STRONG competition, does that mean that my input isnt valid?
I’m not even trying to talk trash about those Vega players, im just saying those videos shouldnt be looked at as “good” videos for the purpose of this thread.

Mask: It ain’t that serious to me because the point of the thread isn’t to actually post AMAZING FLAWLESS vids. Quite the opposite actually. I mean it’s a critique thread so posting matches where people played near perfect makes little sense imo but I guess people kinda forgot that small detail. The point of the thread is for me to act as an impetus for a char community to help it’s own members and gather info for the write-up.
But if people want to see a ft10 between two solid players then why not? In the end it’s up to you though.
