Is joo going to include some of his combos in the dvd from the ps3 or 360 version or straight dc only? Just curious =/
^^^
I’m pretty sure anybody working with frame-specific combos wouldn’t make it too far into the ports we have now for 360 and ps3.
You could make a pretty good video about combos that don’t work at all anymore.
Thanks Joo and Mag.
this may be a dumb question but how is joo doing the combo at 3:48 in the perview of the dvd with cable. i know he is cancelling but he does gun shot and then starts a whole another gun shot string but it looks like it just cancelled into its self. i know you can sj cancel it but cabel feet never leave the ground, please someone help.
thanks
what a jerk response. why did they make you a mod?
Loud noises!!!
soon?
so is it out yet or what/.
Damn, this guy is nuts! I’d love to see his hands while he performs a 89 hit combo.
Am curious about the band playing the song in the HQ video too…what is it?
It’s a huge project. It’ll be posted here when it’s done, but it’s not done yet.
No. Maybe Christmas time (late December).
Sorry, I didn’t cover it because it’s common knowledge by now, but all his combos are done using a programmable controller. These pads do everything for him so there should be no credit for manual dexterity.
Are there any other questions? I’ll do a write-up about the DVD that will address a lot of aspects involving his huge endeavor once I post it.
I’m anxiously waiting for this.
When are you going to fill out the system section on inventiveflow? That section is so beast!
Uh, the common technique videos in the DVD are going to explain
FS
FSD
OTG
UNFLY
SUKI
Y-Boost (holding up to change the person’s stun when they get hit by a projectile)
The videos seem to cover it better than the actual articles. I might just replace them or something.
A personal project many many years in the making slated for release this December? Is Joo’s real name James Cameron?
All jokes aside, I’m really looking forward to this.
I don’t get the reference. I say Christmas because he and I are working on the project simultaneously and I can’t speak for how much work he will be doing, so I’m just guessing a far off date.
I suck at quoting.
So we’re basically watching a “bot” playing the game? Aww…I thought he was actually that awesome dexterity-wise too. Oh well. Good show, though.
His programming skills are great though to string together those longass combos, so I can see how it must have taken a looooong time to make. And he still had to figure out how they fit together.
I was actually thinking of Dragonforce but the vocals didn’t sound right.
Yeah, the most impressive thing about this DVD is the time it took to program the combos. It’s a perseverance issue more than anything. Once people understand all the factors working against him when he was trying to find something, then understand why his combos are special, they’ll see why this DVD really stands out.
Funny enough, the DVD will be called “Joo’s 1%”, after a quote by Thomas Edison:
Terrible name. And the idea behind it is even more terrible. I’ll see my way to convince him NOT to call it like that.
It’s that or MvC2 Combo Bible.
nah, i like the 1 percent. or he could call it, “what the bleep do you know”.
