The animation seemed a bit off in a few scenes, but otherwise 2 is pretty solid. Next week is where the real deal begins.
Yeah you’re right, they did show in a set of flashing pictures. In the manga, they yap a bit, but it’s really minor stuff lol, I’m just being extra really. The anime’s going at a good enough pace anyway so far.
And I agree, animation wasn’t looking so hot in a couple of scenes. I think ep.1 was better animation IMO, but since it’s Jojo, I give it a free pass lol, plus at least they seemingly animate properly where it counts. And I can’t wait for Ep.3! Finally gonna get to the crazy shit now.
EDIT: And yeah, the intro’s nuts lol.
Don’t bother with old OVAs they cover a later part of the manga and are pretty shitty anyway.

I must say that the directing of the anime is absolutely brilliant. I was one of the skeptical people when the anime was announced, but hell did surpass my expectations. And not only is it good as an adaptation, it’s doing great with a clearly low budget.
I wonder how people that never read the manga feel about it, though.
What should I watch then? The one I found deals with part 3 “Star dust Crusade” I believe and im liking it so far.
There’s only the Stardust Crusaders OVA other than the anime (well there was a phantom blood movie but it’s never been release outside of theaters because it was terribad). I guess calling them shitty was too strong but I’m glad you’re enjoying it 
A lot of people like the OVAs and I do to a degree it’s just that lot’s of stuff is missed out or changed and it just rubs me the wrong way. After you’ve done watching it you should try the manga.

yoooo that intro is soooo fuckin dope. episode 2 was ok…but its to be expected not much goes on til the fire. thats when things get…puts on shades really heated.
What subs did you guys use for episode 2?

My God, I thought the anime would somewhat “downplay” Jojo’s buffness a bit, but he’s still just as buff as he was drawn in the manga, but don’t take it the wrong way, at least he doesn’t look like those modern day anime bishounens where they look skinny as hell but can do almost impossible stunts which is a plus in my book. :tup:
Also I just reread the end of Phantom Blood and all I have to say is… my feels. 
I might be looking too much into this but the beginning of the opening starts with Stone Ocean and works it’s way back to Phantom Blood. Do anyone else think that they’re going to try to animate up until Stone Ocean?
The plan seems to be to animate every part but how far it goes depends on ratings and DVD/blue ray sales i suppose.
I really like Phantom Blood but I can’t get too excited about the rest of the series.
This will be the first anime DVD boxset that I’ll buy since YYH.
Commie subs are the way to go for now.
I don’t care if you find the Duwang subs to be hilarious, its not funny at all.
