the stand user was already dead so crazy diamond wouldn’t have any chance of saving shigechi or harvest.
what’s sad is that it seems you’re late to the jojo phenomenon and expecting everybody to be fawning all over the anime like noobs.
yeah, that “silly argument” was just that since some of us had read the books like, years ago and not much else can be said about major beats in the stories any differently that are gonna change or affect it.
we get it that you like it but heck, keep your expectations low. this IS SRK you know.
you know what, i might send you a PM and lay out everything that happens from the next episode until the ending.
with spoiler tags, of course. lololol
When 90% of the posters in this thread know the outcomes of most parts it’s kind of hard to discuss without it becoming a “That was a great episode” circle jerk. I mean for anime only peeps I guess it kinda sucks that speculations won’t get met with many replies but the manga is so old that for a lot of us everything has been talked about, at least regarding parts 1-4, part 5 may be different since the scanlations were poor.
I’m gonna get on reading part 7 later so I can get back to JoJolion. I have a theory about something that happens, not sure if I mentioned it before but
Spoiler
Is DIO Jesus? Considering the universal reset and with how Pucci views DIO, an the fact that his bones seem to have weird powers, is it possible that the Jesus figure that is referenced in SBR is Pucci’s distorted vision of DIO and his religion combined? If any of this is covered in JoJolion I’d rather you just hint towards it rather than outright tell me, cheers.
i don’t know if araki could get any more blatant with implying that the saint corpse is JC in SBR. haven’t come across a full-on explanation if there’s any bearing to this so i wouldn’t need to look into it too much.
SBR and jojolion are weird. the characterization and plot are terrific but since it’s an alternate universe take/self-contained continuity, i’m waiting on the series to get better i guess. it just happens that the first six arcs were pretty consistent and reading SBR couldn’t help be like, “WHAT. THE. FUCK?!.” first issue out the gate.
heart attack 2, exciting af with some really bad animation in spots but overall very satisfying.
koichi is MVP for this and last episode of course.
next one turns up the insanity another notch. crazy diamond indeed.
SBR universe is actually the original “base” universe. JoJo’s 1-6 are in an “alternate” universe, so Pucci’s reset has nothing to do with SBRverse. This is mentioned in Steel Ball Run when I think Funny (or diego, i forgot who) explains how D4C works. I also recall araki mentioning in interviews that it’s not the universe pucci created.
what?! nobody bothered for jojo this week? eh, janken was boring anyway.
next few episodes will be meh if i’m not mistaken but looking forward to the fight on the tower and ZA BUKKU!
No, I thought it was trash, animation, art everything was off. While I never particularly enjoyed the Janken boy arc at least in the manga it had funny moments, like Rohan’s snide remark towards american manga reader and Rohan kicking the boy while in his chair all missing in the anime. The lack of effort makes no sense considering The Lock and Ratt my to last favorite arcs were done so well. I hope they do Highway star justice, cause Rohan deserves better than this imo.
reenters thread wearing blindfold so as not to see spoilers
I came back just to say, Holy shit!! That latest episode was BORRRING!!
bumps into table trying to feel his way around
Diamond is unbreakable continues to be really awesome but, like that first episode introducing Shigechi, this one was just dull.
knocks over someone’s drink, glass smashes on floor…hears someone cursing in the background
Kinda sad because i think Rohan(sp?) is a decent character but, this just wasn’t a good episode for him. Whole damn thing felt like filler to be honest.
hears someone behind him cleaning up the glass while grumbling
Anyway, 2 mediocre episodes out of 26 is still pretty good. Otherwise the rest of Part 4 has been Gold so far. They can’t all be winners though.
slowly makes his way back to the door, accidentally knocking over misc items in the process
if you read the manga, you KNOW for a fact that any issue/episode WITHOUT josuke, jotaro or koichi as the main character IT IS FILLER as it deviates from the main plot of the arc which is josuke vs. kira.
rohan gets on my nerves as a character and i didn’t even read the manga one-shots araki made [details=Spoiler] because rohan is a stand-in for araki in this arc [/details] wish his development was much better but meh.
it has to do with david productions condensing a portion of the manga to fit a half hour anime in the least. i’ve said it before, this season has been hit-or-miss with the art quality; can’t be helped since the art style araki used in the books as it progressed noticeably shifted from the hard edged look of “stardust” (evident in the first few issues of “diamond”) to a softer, more rounded style going into the final few volumes which carries over into “vento” and further refined in “stone”.
for comparison (middle image is from the anime):
it’s kinda jarring due to inconsistency and some of the anime art is kinda awful. the last two seasons had a few episodes poorly drawn but there’s just too many this season.
fuck, they better pull up their socks going to the end. i don’t wanna watch the josuke vs. kira fight with awful art, yare yare daze…
I’m surprised that they’re doing a jojo 4 film, since i thought the earlier rumors being based on jojo3 are much more interesting (despite part 4 being my favorite)
new jojo op is dope as fuck too, but im pretty surprised that we’re already up to highway star.
