Totally forgot or overlooked that part. That’s how it work in Yu Yu Hakusho too. Can one regard this as a Deus Ex Machina or is it part of character development in self-actualization in of the character’s power/hidden potential in the heat of battle? Perhaps it is both.
I’ve been marathoning through the manga the past few of weeks. I’m up to Part 8 now. This series has easily jumped to being my fav, right up with Black Lagoon. The only thing I didn’t really care for was how 6 ended. If they’re going to go back to the main timeline at some point, I guess it doesn’t matter, but yea.[details=Spoiler] I’m still kind of unclear on how Stairway to Heaven just flatout let Pucci negate Star Platinum, the way it did. Really didn’t care for Weather Report / Heavy Weather’s hidden snail ability either.[/details]
I think Battle Tendency and Steel Ball Run are my favorites, with Stardust Crusaders tied with Stone Ocean in Third.

The best thing about the trailer is it captures some of those manga scene perfectly. Hopefully it can stay that faithful through out the series.
if it’s for tv, I’m sure a lot of the crazy violence will be cut out. I wonder, will it be 50 episodes? or just keep going until they finish? would each arc only get a certain number of episodes? I wonder how they will do Stardust Crusaders since that has already been done. I can’t wait to compare D’arby episodes. DAAAAAAAAARBYYYY!

Eh I wouldn’t worry too much about the violence, this type of Anime tends to play late at night (Later then is typical). Even if it does get censored for broadcast it will get an uncensored release shortly there after.
