JoJo's Bizarre Adventure All-Star Battle confirmed by Bandai-Namco

Anyone know of a good updated ZA WARUDO Dio combo vid showing practical and effective combos, also utilizing new juggle options from Air Muda Style cancels? Or at least can type a few up not using numerical notations, I’ve been enjoying using him lately and just keep flubbing juggles.

Persona one is nice but outdated. So far I am just going on a Lucifer Dio match vid to figure some stuff out.

Why do people listen to this guy anyways? Maybe I should start a stream and get fans.

Well… on one hand, TheBrett has discovered good stuff about the game and has done some work. The Bruno combo he’s trying to do (236C [SR] J.B 2AB5C level 1) is not one of the easier stand rush combos in the game, and Bruno already has trouble opening people up. (thank god for Resolve damage buff/armor.) He could make it easier with… J.A i think. I don’t play Bruno but I messed with that combo already. Practice makes it consistent for sure.

On the other hand, he basically won by just bulldogging and playing better in neutral while still dropping that combo constantly, so his damage was like… 180 something instead of the 400 or whatever it should have been. Of course it’s going to seem like a low damage game, he’s guessing twice as often as he should be because of poor execution. At one point he tried to do 5B instead of 2B, which like, has never worked pre or post patch. Everyone makes mistakes, but… yeah.

Really, if anyone should be blown up, it should be Tone, lol. As shitty as his combos were, by doing ABC > Super he was technically still out damaging Brett, Brett just controlled the game.

What bothers me is that when discussing the game people keep bring up whatever talking points he makes on stream. My problem with him is that he’s seen as a source of authority on the game, when he’s…kinda not that good at it. People thought PB Dio was E tier trash for the longest time because of him lol

“damage is too low”

lolwut

most of the cast can do 400+ with one meter (and ~300 without any). what game are you guys playing? damage also doesn’t go to shit when you use a ton of meter in this (unlike SF4)

also, just found some new awesome tech with Abdul. >:3

It’s a low damage game, stop being delusional, and thers a ton of things int he game that make it really really slow paced. It’s a dumb and silly game but it’s is really fun. You also gotta remember that happened at like midnight,. people had been there since 3PM and were tired as hell. Brett hits that combo all the time normally but at that point he was pretty tired.

lol

actually if/when they buff throw damage I was thinking the game would probably end almost too soon, some characters can just do some awesome shit off throws, it’ll interesting to see if CC2 does a universal throw damage buff or character specific

Throws are pretty weak, always thought damage was too low on them but when I foudn out you can always tech them it was pathetic.

Uhhh…he never said PB Dio was low tier. In fact, he was one of the first people who said he was good thanks to his super jump and rekkas.

Aside from throws, which I think we can all agree are pretty weak without taunt combos (which are going to go away soon, I am willing to bet), exactly what should be doing what amount of damage? We’ve given examples of high damage low meter using combos. I want to hear what you specifically think should be changed.

idk man, maybe I’m too use to others game damage like P4a or Marvels.

So, I guess there are no other Canadian JoJo players around, eh? I’ve been praciticing a little more with Okuyasu as well as fine tuning my Kars and I’m curious as to how he fare against people with brains.

Calling the damage “low” or “high” is misleading. The combo system is simply shallow. The more meter you have to spend, the better the damage will be, and that’s pretty much it. They said they are going to change the scaling, so I’d like to see them implementing different rewards for different combo starters and different starting positions, and also make the heavier ground normals safer and more useful compared to As.

That’s a good insight. While there are some heavier normal that are pretty useful for non damage reasons (the now buffed Avdol 5C comes to mind, or Wham 5B) there definitely doesn’t seem to be any bonus damage wise for going directly for them, just the benefit of their longer range. (Unless you’re Josuke, who’s stand off 2A is better then most people’s mediums lol)

There anywhere I can find info on post-patch Narancia?
BnBs and setups

True, although I wouldn’t get my hopes up on changes that specific.

Considering from the very beginning they have been throwing the “We aren’t making a traditional Fighter” card around any chance they get, I agree. Even if they set out to make a legit fighter they don’t have the capability of doing so without outsourcing some experience in the field.

If they really do intend to see ASB out through like the Naruto games they’ll…eventually have to go the hardcore route. I mean, they already nailed down what they wanted on the first try, from here on out it’s either improve on what they get or just sit on it and add a shit ton more stages/characters. I want ASB 2 or expansion simply for the probable 60fps next gen version.

All things considered, I think they did get those kind of people to do this. No way they went from Naruto to this by themselves.

I recall some siliconeria (sp) article where they mentioned one of the producers was a heritage for the future tourney vet. So far most of the ASB patch notes address some of the gameplay issues, so I don’t think CC2 is exactly flying blind here.
