JoJo's Bizarre Adventure All-Star Battle confirmed by Bandai-Namco

Not a Cars-only thing actually, it’s a universal combo system rule. It even works with knockdowns that end in a bounce if you juggle them before the bounce itself. I figured the combo would work since I’ve been able to juggle 5H to SJC to j.A before, but I wasn’t certain about this exact situation.

Since you guys are talking about Kars, here’s a Caesar vs Kars match from Gostunv. And do you guys think this game should be in EVO or any major event such as NorCal, Final Round, etc?

Ohh, okay, I think I understand what you’re saying now. I guess it just never crossed my mind that Cars’ airdash would work the same way like that because it seems like a move that should have had a knockdown state assigned to it.

Is Kar’s Light Mode useful in anyway?

Wait, what happened at 8:30? Did the game crash back to the XMB?

Someone accidentally exited out of the game or something like that?

So I was messing around with Hol, and I found you he can get multiple’s of his qcb special after you cancel it. I’m not too sure how this works though.

I was mainly canceling it to mess around with a high/low set up after a knock down.

Hey how does Hol Horse’s Style button works? Does it act like another attack button or J. Geil come out, lol?

His S button let’s him load that special shot that if you fire QCF L, M, H that shot will hit twice then knock them down.

QCF S will fire a bullet that does multiple hits(like in the video).

And J, Geil is his partners stand, right? If so he comes out of the puddle that’s on the ground with QCB atk.

Light Mode makes his blade specials unblockable.

I dunno about light mode. Like, I think it would’ve been more affective if the game didn’t have Stylish Dodge. I just save my meter for HHA’s and PC’s.

So, for those that have had the opportunity to play a strong Koichi, when he lands a Three Freeze, what do you do to deal with the incoming afterwards? Just block and try to tech throw attempts? Or is there a legit way to deal with it other than praying to whatever god you believe in?

They need to bring back shadow dio

He is one of Iggy’s attacks.

Just saw it. Would of been cool if he was a separate character.

I was one of the people commentatting, yeah near the end there we were tired from being up for a bit plus the game is a slog in long sets. Damage really needs to go up.

To be fair, it’s not the game’s fault that TheBrett literately dropped every single stand rush combo and Tone did the lowest damage, most basic Abdul combos he could.

Just gotta pray your way out of the THREE FREEZEU. That’s Koichi’s thing. And it’s amazing.

The game really does have low damage though, unless you pop some serious meter.

But most of those combo’s got hit from the patch iirc.

How much damage do you want average combos to be?

Because right now a really basic one meter combo is around 30%, pretty much on par with SF4, and really optimal combos tend to be 35%~40%. Will, for example, is considered low damage but optimal 2A combo is 351 for him. Most other characters get the same damage or better and build back some meter afterwards for their next combo. Look at PB Dio, who builds back like 80% of his meter and gets… ugh… i think it’s 270? I can’t remember.

My point is, it’s a new game and everyone is dropping thier combos right now or doing ABC > Super because they don’t know any better. Outside of the japanese stream and some random other matches I almost never see anyone doing optimal combos, or doing really bad puttstun combos. (Puttstun combos should both drastically increase damage AND build back at least like 40~50% meter or better…)

As annoying as the star control guys were, their ignorance can’t be blamed: TheBrett and Tone did bad combos and the game dragged because of it. Bruno never punishing with his level 1 (which is like, one of the few really good things I’ve seen from Bruno) didn’t help any either.

The only damage i have a problem with in this game is throws. CH throws are a step in the right direction, now that damage just needs to be normal hit.
