JoJo's Bizarre Adventure All-Star Battle confirmed by Bandai-Namco

well you cant tiger knee air moves

Yes you can.

More pre-jump frames on all of the cast means it takes longer to become airborne following a ‘jump’ input. Just do the button input later.

What did this new patch do?

some dude wrote this, take it with a grain of salt and test things yourself

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1CqOkfe4YUgFOIvT32ZveT4Q-3fRzUuOZ0rWI3f2IEvo/edit?pli=1

this patch kinda killed the game for me. giorno is very stale now :frowning:

here’s to hoping they buff GER in the future

edit: man, fuck that. even if they did, this game just isn’t as fun anymore. this was a very bad patch

Wait, what did they do to Giorno?

Can I get some accurate patch notes please? The fun is gone because infinites are gone? I’m not quite understanding?

Also this is a CC2 fighter, I wouldnt sit around waiting for periodic patches.

you can’t juggle people for 10 years, so it ruins some of those juggle loop combos

So where is the less fun part?

I guess the old “my combos dont work, this game/patch sucks” thing…
Overall very good patch imo.

Jesus guys infinites don’t make the game fun…

If anything, now that they don’t overshadow the rest of the game it’s time to finally start exploring the characters.

it’s more about how system changes affected him, he did receive at least 1 direct nerf though (that i know of)

-optimized stand rush bnb even harder to pull off now to the point of being impractical and not worth attempting. seems to be related to a change in gravity? not sure
-can no longer instant overhead divekick, removing a valuable mixup option
-direct nerf to stand j.H hitbox, along with universal nerf of not being able to press air normals as soon as you leave the ground, means that slightly more technical yet rewarding combos like this are no longer possible and are in fact discouraged

basically there is little reason to do anything outside of A A A A xx super now because 90% of the time it will be the most optimized combo that you can do. unless something new gets discovered for him which i highly doubt because he’s a very limited character as it is, giorno will be one of the most lacking characters in the game in terms of combo versatility

giorno has been dumbed down tremendously and i’m sure he’s not the only character to have that happen

i think i’m mostly against the patch for this reason. taking out infinites was a necessary change, along with adding pre-jump frames, but quite frankly the rest of the changes are harmful to diversity

Akira feels pretty off as well, I couldn’t easily get any of his loops going which is where his damage was before off an Overcharge Crumple. They either made it more difficult, or it is gone entirely which makes the character borderline useless.

I am liking World Dio though.

I have no doubt they’re going to mess with the gravity a bit more, since you can now fall out of Divine Sandstorm and punish Wham on hit. Same with Oraoraora and all sorts of wacky shit. I imagine they’re going to want to fix that ASAP, since even to casual players, falling out of Oraoraora is a bit of a bad look.

Here’s hoping they also look at individual moves that might be too good TK’d and not just this borderline rule while we’re at it, too. Wham needed to not be able to TK his move, or he could do that 100% ToD, but the game does really need more tweaks than this. Still, they have DLC to sell, and if anything will motivate a company to patch, its needing to sell DLC, so fingers crossed.

Does that drop outside of a combo ?

It might as an anti-air, they only drop as a juggle as far as I can tell. Here’s a video on Wham’s: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm21797861

Any changes to Stylish Move?

Finally got this game!

I know absolute dick bout this series n game. But it looks hella nice, and doesn’t play nearly as slow as I imagined. Kinda wish OP was updated with info on the game, it’s system mechanics, and tutorial of navigating options menu would be nice.

Anyone know where I can find this info? Yes, I’m lazy lol. :stuck_out_tongue:

Green suit dude wit red hair, is the first guy I picked. Seems like he got some fun keep away tools. Reminds me of Ivy from Soul Calibur for some reason. Might have to main this guy until the char I want is unlocked.

Pretty sure we’ll see a character-specific tuning for this sort of stuff soon, I can’t imagine them making sweeping system changes without fine-tuning everything (eventually). Hopefully. Maybe.
