Anyone mess around with Narancia yet?

I was messing with Jo2uke, and I’m wondering what purpose does his qcb+attack in stand mode serve? It’s a single side kick that knocks them a good distance away for a hard knockdown, yet can be stand rush’d despite being impossible make use of midscreen, when you could just go for his qcf+attack punch rush special instead which is much easier to combo/pressure off of a stand rush in any situation. No invincibility or armor or such that I could determine either.

Well, Narancia appears to have a guaranteed guard break setup into an infinite on short characters.

Edit: Never mind, the combo works on normal characters as well. Just looped three times on Giorno.

That should give Narancia a significant boost, no? All I ever from people about him is about how supposedly bad he is.

Hmm, you make a valid point.

I’ve used him frequently, seems like a strong enough character honestly, has a lot of tools and a loop set-up.

EDIT: Anyone mind telling me the conditions/requirements to activate Love Train? Would be appreciated. Also Ceasar is pretty fun to use.

Yeah dude, Narancia is pretty good because he has that. Meter for it is minimal, and the execution on the loop isn’t too bad (the input of it is confusing at first). Also, 2-3 loops is like 30% life (then scaling kicks in pretty hard).

Some other things to note about Narancia:
*Jumping C (stand OFF) is really good because he doesn’t have a whiff animation since his stand is the one attacking (and you can use it to jump away)
*Jumping B (stand ON) is similar to stand-off jC, but shoots forward instead of diagonally down.
*His qcb move (running kick animation) is unblockable, so you can do ghetto tick traps with it.
*IIRC, his full-screen bullet moves do not beat Kakyoin’s Emerald Splash, so you’re gonna need to sidestep sometimes.

Anybody here know a good usage for Valentine’s flag teleport and oraora? His oraora is a decent lockdown move after smacking someone out of the air, but I can’t particularly find a decent use for it. Flag teleport…maybe it has nice invincibility frames/oki usage? You can actually tech throws within his super counter it seems too.

I really can’t wait to see what they do with the patch. also I want to see frame data for this game.

Played online tonight and it was a fun experience. Pulled off a few combos online which were pretty hard due to input delay. Overall I think the game has potential. If anyone wants to play whenever, hit me up.

DIO’s Burst used mid-combo causes the model collision from his STAND to be removed, causing all sorts of stuff.

I feel retarded. How do you recall Gyro’s projectiles? Is it only timer based- IE, they get thrown, and I just wait? I can’t manually pull them back?

Also, is QCF+S, QCF+S the only way to collide projectiles off each other?
