JoJo's Bizarre Adventure All-Star Battle confirmed by Bandai-Namco

It’s not lame, if that’s how the character makes you feel, then he has done a good job getting you on Johnathan’s side,I would assume it would make Johnathan’s victories sweeter, and his ultimate fate that much more tragic.
I’m the opposite though, that is why I liked him. Every once in a while it is nice to see someone be apologetically evil and pull it off well. I always found Dio to work for me because he was a a balanced villain. He is evil, but not so blinded by being evil he can’t think logically. He is smart enough to be a mental threat, but not so over the top in that regard that he can’t make mistakes and become a mary sue. He screws up quite a few times, but does not lose any menace from those losses (like for example team rocket or even Hol Horse) because he noticeably learns from those mistakes and makes steps to avoid them. He is charismatic enough to be the driving force behind multiple parts, while avoiding being overexposed, he is seen exactly as much as he needs to be IMO.

Finished part 6… I’ve now read 1-7 in their entirety and it feels good. What an epic ending! I cannot wait to see Made In Heaven and C-Moon in All Star Battle. Pucci might even become one of my mains.

Pt6 has a terrible ending. :frowning: Fuck that outcome.

idk if old…

Maybe its because I had it spoiled and saw it coming and I love’s me a good apocalyptic story…but I liked it. I don’t think its worth the fans crying about it, it still very much followed through with the JoJo theme of concurring your fears and facing your destiny, that is true victory. Nearly everyone dies in most parts of JoJo (save for part 4 and 2), Did you guys not read part 1? That’s way sadder to me then part 6’s ending, the point is Pucci’s ambitions were put to an end and the world was ultimately saved. [details=Spoiler]FF’s Death was way sadder then the ending anyway[/details] Plus Jolyne is like the biggest bad ass ever. I was fully satisfied by Stone Ocean honestly, the finale’s sooooo much better then Part 5’s ending/final battle. Now that is the worst JoJo ending to me bar non, I don’t even know what was going on…to each their own though, it just seems like Stone Ocean is mad under appreciated compared to parts 3-5. I went in knowing fans are divided on Part 6’s ending, for me the ending/final fights rank like this: 6, 7, 3, 4, 2, 1, 5

I really am excited about playing as Pucci (I’m curious who will do his voice too), and Jolyne vs Pucci, and really hoping we see Weather Report, FF and Anasui playable. Though I am not sure how do you guys think Anasui might play? That guys crazy but I like Diver Down, its one of the cooler looking Stand designs to me. I doubt we’ll get any minor villains but I would also enjoy seeing either Vivanno Westwood (the security guard with the meteorite stand) as a grappler type character this game could really use, or Rykiel to get in one of Dio’s sons, he could play similarly to Arukune with his bug harvest attacks.

Pt 6 ending was

Spoiler

Araki saying, "Hey guys, remember that whole everything? The pt1-pt6 right before the ending? Yeah. It’s gone. It never happened.

But hey, now I get to do monthly SBR and JoJolion stuff, so it’s really well drawn!"

Jolyne is definitely a cool MC though. Reminded me a lot of Y. Joseph.

What more did you want though? JoJo has always been look into the future, forget the past. Araki refuses to draw in his old styles (he says he “can’t” as an artist I respect this), Araki made Old Joseph look ridiculous and fans complained, Araki kills off or reduces his previous arc characters to side characters at best when they reappear. And each part is essentially a stand alone story with loose ties to the timeline anyway. Starting over fresh barely matters for telling a good story. That is unless you really wanted to see old Jolyne or Giorno that badly…

Stone Ocean spoiler I guess, seems like most of us have read it though [details=Spoiler]Just because history was rewritten doesn’t mean the previous books didn’t happen. Araki isn’t George Lucas man, he’s not trying to shit on part 1-5 or redo them over and over like a moron, it enabled him to start fresh and make JoJo accessible to new readers in a new format. I guess I just didn’t take the repercussions seriously at all, and I got my fill of the main time line (with nearly 100 volumes). Part 6 is the end of JoJo essentially and I’m okay with that, time to move onto …oh wait Steel Ball Run is my favorite arc (though I didn’t expect it to be, there’s no contest). We’ve even gone back to the prime universe several times in Araki’s oneshots featuring Rohan or that silly Jolyne one shot which had so many fan service cameos, but that’s literally all you can do with the old continuity. Araki is like a fine artist and JoJo has always been him doing “whatever the flip he wants with his art” since day 1. I can understand some fans think he is spitting on parts 1-5 with 6 but I just don’t care since I can just reread part 3 its not going anywhere. It’s as FF said, ones memories are whats most important, thats what it means to be alive and thats what humans fight for…Part 1-5 cannot be unwritten because I can just revisit them. I viewed part 6’s ending as just that an interesting way to wrap up the time line. [/details]

I’m just salty at the ending is all. I really just didn’t like it. anditotallywanteddeepdowninsideforsomerandomassjolynexgiornorelationtohappentospitedio
I understand that ‘restarting’ JoJo’s means he can write more, and that’s good for everyone, but to me it just seemed like he didn’t know HOW to end it so pt6 ended how it did. I guess this is a ‘different strokes for different folks’ kind of thing though/

Can I say that Joseph being so useless and borderline senile in pt3/4 is heartbreaking after the awesomeness he was in pt2? That always makes me sad.

I know the question was already asked, but I double the inquiry: what on earth is Dio’s style going to be? I am new to the Jojo world (the game is actually getting me into the universe, lol) but PB Dio obviously won’t use Ripple/Stand/Horse (lol) so that just leaves ‘mode’, unless they make a fifth style called ‘vampire’ or something just for him…

I read American comics, so alternate continuities and universe resets are par for the course.

Dio’s Style can maybe involve freezing or something like that. Maybe it’ll disable other characters Stylish buttons for a while.

Maybe it’ll throw animals into furnaces. Counter to Ultimate Cars.

I can see Pucci perhaps playing like Frank West from MvC3, using his discs to somehow “level up” Whitesnake into C-Moon. Then maybe once you’re C-Moon Pucci’s GHA will be Stairway To Heaven.

Jeah, I’m really interested to see what they do with him. Pucci is one of my fav villians from JoJo.

I liked the part 6 ending (every arc spoiler)

Spoiler

For the most part every Jojo arc ends in a bitter sweet way (outside of part 4,and even then the people Kira killed are not unkilled). In part 1 Johnathan dies, in part 2 they win but Cesaer dies, in part 3 and 5 a large portion of the main supporting characters die. In part 7 Gyro dies. It’s a recurring element of the manga, the heroes are able to stop the bad guy, but at a great cost in doing so. Part 6 did the same thing as previous parts, just on a grander scale. I would have had a problem if it was haphazardly done, but it was an exciting fight IMO. Not to mention it opened up the possibility for steel ball run so it ended up working out for the best. Yes it kind of sucks that Joseph is the only JoJo to live a full life, but it was established in part 2 that it was unusual for him to not end up dying young, part 6 just confirms he didn’t break the chain, he was just skipped over.

His freezing abilities could be used, maybe make his strikes freeze the opponent similar to killer frost’s trait in injustice.

Welp, time to never return to this thread until I finish reading pt7 and 8.

Fuck, yea huge SBR spoiler  Try to tag your spoilers guys big whatever arc spoiler Sorry bout that dude. Just keep in mind folks spoilers in an anime/manga themed thread could mean spoilers for part of the series you haven’t read, tread lightly. I was about to say part 2’s ending is the 2nd happiest to me but the Zeppeli curse is a hell of a thing…[details=Spoiler]SBR Spoiler again Still hoping we get a zeppeli that lives one day, though if my boy Gyro, arguably one of the two main characters can’t make it…I don’t have much hope anymore.[/details]

Sorry to spoil that, added clarification of which parts I spoiled to avoid repeating that mistake.

We still love you, Sandwich.

LIES!

…well that was a huge letdown. not even full matches? maybe since they’re all prerecorded, they’ll release the full ones on the website when they upload them. still :\

there’s some cool things to gleam from them though; I definitely saw a wallbounce in the match with Bruno & Johnny.

Loving the music if nothing else, hoping Johnny’s Tusk Act 2 super tracks along the ground it clearly continues moving even if it misses so that’d be a nice touch if it was homing. I like the animation for Hol Horses glass attack more. Caesar came off really well, but its hard to say too much since we saw SO little. I was also hoping we get to see the full matches in the archived uploads but I won’t get my hopes up. It’s sad seeing Polnareff jump into anti air attacks over and over when we know from PV3 that he has a projectile reversal ability similar to Rose or Fox in Smash.
