JoJo's Bizarre Adventure All-Star Battle confirmed by Bandai-Namco

I told you bro. I honestly hope the game isn’t mostly comprised of Part 3 characters like I originally predicted.

Cars eats Dio for breakfast

You know it’s weird, I always liked Cars (especially the ultimate version), but I always found Wham to be my favourite part 2 enemy.

would the cars/joseph matchup be in joseph’s favor if he had good space control

Don’t feel strange Cars was my least liked baddie from Battle Tendency. Wham, AC/DC and Stroheim showed him up emphatically and even the minor villains felt like they had more character to them compared to him even though they had short appearances. I feel like he’s the lamest main bad guy in JoJo.

I think most people prefer Wham since his fights are ‘better’. I didn’t like ACDC nearly as much as either of them, though.

Stroheim isn’t a villain yo

*It’s hard to consider any Nazi “not a villain”. But he is as morally ambiguous as it gets in terms of nazi’s he’s up there with Oscar Schindler. *

He does nothing but consistently save everyone’s life, what more do you want from him?

*Not be a Nazi? I still love the character but I consider him to in the gray area. *

That has always been Diavolo for me (though I did like the doppio bits and king crimson’s appearance, but I have yet to find a main villain with no redeeming points) but I can see where you are coming from. For me I always felt the fact that Cars was a necessary character for part 2 to work.

[details=Spoiler] He was the main point behind the conflict, as well as the one focused on the goals. If it were not for him, Joseph would most likely never come into conflict with the pillar men. Having him be the one focused on the group’s goals allows the other members to get sidetracked (such as the challenges they have with JoJo) and evolve their characters a bit more. If Cars was cut out the other members would have to either a) take some elements of his personality in order to make the plot move forward, which would be damaging to their personalities (especially Wham) b) have them wander around with no real goal, which would de-fang them a bit in my eyes or c) have the same goal and procrastinate endlessly about it, making them look incompetent.

He also served as a nice contrast to the other members, where they were honorable, he wasn’t. The manga needed someone who was straight up bad, as it set the stakes for the rest of the manga. I didn’t want Joseph to lose to Wham because (aside from the fact the main character would die if he did) that would mean no one would be there to stop Cars. Wham left to his own devices doesn’t seem as bad because he was kind of likable (which is one of the key parts of his character). The consistency of Cars is why he works, it may not be exciting, but someone has to get the job done (actually one of my main problems with diavolo is how inconsistent he is).

Of course it is all subjective, but that is why I like Cars (aside from the obvious benefit of his ultimate form being cool, vampire squirrel for the win). [/details]

I’m personally very happy to see Abdul. Then again, I haven’t read most of the series.

Dio?..mudamudamudamudaMUDAMUMDAMUDAAAAAAA!

New JoJo’s screens:

I wonder if that means Ice is stage hazard only
I wonder if ASB will have a ton of weird alts colors that change every round

I do hope Namco starts releasing match videos

Shit

I’m probably gonna pick up a Ps3 for this. I will never live it down

I love most things in this release. I love Dio’s knife super, its just how I envisioned it, I love how Abdul’s level 1 super is named (‘My third wish is for you to give me a fourth’), and I love how the Hanged Man looks in this game, though I’ll miss Boingo.

In saying that, Abdul’s fire looks a bit boring.

Looks like Hol Horse has all his specials from the CPS3 game. Even looks like he has the gunshots you can change the trajectory of. Leaving in details like that makes me think they’re trying to keep him pretty similar to his previous version. Hopefully he will retain his zoning keepaway playstyle.

one thing I wish they’d give the stands is like some transparency; they all look very “solid” and not really like spirits.

I really liked how in the capcom games, you didn’t really see the stands’ legs, they were just kind of faded out below a certain point. it looks strange in this game a bit.

This game needs more Vanilla Ice and Funny Valentine. I would also accept the chef from part 4.

But they aren’t spirits, they’re just projections of yourself, just like personas. I don’t see a problem with them looking solid.

Funny Valentine’s gonna be in no doubt, don’t you worry. I’d like for Tonio’s cooking to cameo in Okuyasu’s move set with an NMAAAA~I, but he never actually fights anyone, nor does his ability have any fighting application, so good luck on your other wishes. :stuck_out_tongue:
