JoJo's Bizarre Adventure All-Star Battle confirmed by Bandai-Namco

His DP was undoubtedly the best in the game prior to 1.04, but no one was crying over it. While I do agree that it should have been nerfed, I do not agree to CC2’s approach to nerfing it. Same goes for what they did to Jotaro’s DP.

All UNS games have been using its own UNS gameplay engine, so don’t count on it

Jotaro’s DP needed the nerf and it’s still a strong DP, just not braindead. The Abdul change is whatever to me because his offensive is still great, something had to go and I’d rather it be the DP.

Another Abdul nerf was that his combos with Hell2U will get scaled faster since they doubled the number of hits per strike in the move, so longer combos with multiple H2Us might not be as efficient as before. SRing his (now) 421A in combos may be the way to go since it does almost as much damage as H H2U, and still a single hit, just harder to combo into because of the slower startup.

Even without his DP, I think Soff still has its uses like CFH/CFHV zoning or using it for taunt combos.

Hey, you were at GameCenter’s last day before they closed, right? So I’m sure you hate Jotaro’s DP as much as I did when you played Orion. And Tone wasn’t DPing enough with Abdul when he could have.

I was the Narancia/Joseph player btw. The Joseph player who did everything he could to land 10-second taunt counters.

Third round of Koichi match = most bullshit Bruno comeback ever, lol. Probably the most fraudulent thing I’ve seen in this game to date…and I’ve seen ME play.

lol I love this bruno. it seems obvious to me he’s a giant troll (almost no fighting until he gets three bars/near the end of round) then he busts out big 60% puttstun juggles. i also have to totally fault koichi for this loss- all he had to do was represent a 2A or throw when bruno was locked in taunt animation, cause even if bruno broke, it wouldn’t have been a SD’d overhead, and he did 5B instead of 2A for whatever reason when he was SD’d the second time (and didn’t PC it when it got SD’d).

Koichi hung himself. Nice to see some of his new stuff though, I haven’t actually sat down with him in 1.04 yet. I like that 6C is a overhead now.

Yeah I I was there, I was the other Abdul players and I also played ACDC. I kept telling Tone to use the DP more often. I wish we could get people playing the game more again. 1.02 was so fucking ass it turned alot of people off.

Lol, it almost seemed like the Koichi player was trying to stop Bruno from reviving despite having the life lead. Or maybe it was the best combo drop I’ve ever seen.

This game makes me kinda wish it had a Training mode like Aksys’ games do, y’know how you can tweak individual character traits/meters without needing to restart the match constantly.

I really want to see how abusable Cream is now for Vanilla Ice, at full meter and simply changing trajectory once you can get incredible damage, I wonder how many ways you can go about with Cream to see how much an impact he can make during Vanilla’s game. Right now Vanilla Ice is definitely the “Akihiko” of ASB, he doesn’t seem to need his Persona… er… Stand at all, lol. I wonder if Cream’s new buffs change that.

And oh MAN Akira is so much fun now. I still can’t get over that.

I just want a damn record function, especially now that quick stand let’s us create crazy block strings. I want to see if I can use them for counter hit/guard crush setups, and that crap is very difficult to test on your own.

Yeah the biggest drawback in training mode is still the lack of record. I have to get by enlisting my brother to be 2P when I want to test very specific setups, but even that isn’t as consistent as being able to make the computer to do something automatically while you test the human-error/human-reaction side of the situation. Kinda surprised CC2 didn’t put this in, but I guess the training mode was bare-bones by necessity due to all the other stuff they had to implement for this game. Maybe in the sequel?

As for Vanilla Ice, his Stand On buffs are already confirmed to be kind of insane. Still not that great to use at neutral, but being able to run over people’s corpses with Son moves adds a LOT of OTG damage to his combos. I haven’t paid attention to EXACTLY how much they can add, but he has 3-bar combos now that do like 750-ish with OTG Cream moves. Thankfully he now has more limited hard knockdown options, so it’s harder to set them up than before.

I guess I missed it, is there a complete list of all character specific changes? I wasn’t even aware that Vice had lost hard knockdown off his Bloodsuck until I actually started playing. And I just now figured out Cream balls hit OTG (which is great, btw.)

I really think he might be one of the best characters in the game from what I’ve seen. I really like using him!

the really scary thing isn’t his 3 bar damage, it’s how much 1 bar damage he can do. he can get to 600+ off of 1 bar iirc.

Wha? What is the combo?

just do BnB, PC the DP, go into stand, cream all over their body.

(by DP I mean his 236A)

KONO DIO GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

You guys are my favorite.

The patch notes info that CC2 put out is pretty extensive this time around (26 page pdf and all), so it’s taking a while to translate. This thread is being updated as they do each character, most of the cast is done so far:
