JoJo's Bizarre Adventure All-Star Battle confirmed by Bandai-Namco

Nah, they still remain on the ground unfortunately. If you’re close enough to them though, you can hit them OTG when Cream goes into the ground initially, then again when he comes back up, doing a nice chunk of combined damaged. So basically if you can do a hard knockdown (which a lot of his specials end in) and get right next to them in time, it’s a good 100 or so extra damage. I’ve seen a combo posted where he’s supposedly able to dash up after a life drain and do this (something like j.H > 5LMH > 236H > S >dash > 22M > M for about 300 meterless), but I haven’t been able to time dashing in and hit them with 22M before they get up.

Also 22M>PC>3H>M follow up won’t work, because if you PC the first 22 attack, you lose access to the follow ups, even though the hole remains in the ground.

22M after blood suck is character-specific. Very easy on Wham for example.

Just had a go at the 2 new characters, not really impress. V.Ice Son feels like a gimmick, annasui is weird but look more promising

I only had a bit of time to mess with Annasui last night, and while I only found basic stuff, the damage on it seems promising:

Stand Off: 2LL 5LMH XX 214L, j.M, 5L pause 5LH XX [623H or HHA] (229 or 362 damage)

Stand On: 2LL 5LMH XX 214H~S, j.M, 5L pause 5LH XX [623H or HHA] (237 or 375 damage)

I was also trying to do SOff 5LMH XX 214L Puttsun S, j.H into something, but wasn’t finding anything worthwhile to juggle with after. If you could juggle into the SOn 214H~S, that’d be pretty cool.

229 off a 2A with no meter is actually some of the best meterless damage in the game. Cripes.

I’m already afraid to see him optimized if he’s just out of the box able to get 360-370.

Does Vanillas special move that’s a “chop” hit overhead? If so I can see it recreating his hard-to-blockable from the heritage game.

Nope. I don’t think he has any overheads other than his jump-ins. Still, he has that nice Soff j.H that comes out even after you land, so that can be kinda annoying to block I guess.

Any cool vids of Anasui n’ Ice in action? I haven’t seen anything and they’ve been out for pretty much a day!

Nope, it’s high as mentioned. It does have armored frames on startup though (and lasts a good while into the move I think), plus the last hit crumples them so you can follow up with a combo after.

I like how Annasui’s stand-on 2A is so godlike that if you rapid-fire it enough, IPS activates and they get knocked down.

I’ve been messing around with Jotaro, and I’m trying to figure out how useful this is:
Son cH, delay dpA, Stand Rush, step back a bit jL. Usually if the jL is done meaty enough it spins the camera around a bit and he’ll land either behind or to their side. It does the same thing when you do jM, but that never crosses-up from what I can tell(?) The big thing would be how the game registers the character and the stand, I think, since his dp A is on the screen during this. Does the game always follow the actual character, or is it whoever has the attack out first between you/stand?.. Regardless I think it’s pretty solid pressure if he can score a hard knockdown, but probably common knowledge?..

Also has anyone seriously messed around with his stand hcbA?..

Also, don’t abuse this as an oki set up. I recommend only using the L version as a combo ender and thats it.
It gets beat out every. single. time. by a low attack, and most players on wake up either jump away or crouch and punch if they feel threatened. You will get blown up if you try to play this move like an oki set up.

Jotaro possesses strong oki with the dpA but the problem is at the end of the combo the opponent is always pushed so far you have to fight your way back in to score a knock down again…

Dammit, Annasui is fun. I was hoping he wouldn’t be since he’s one of my least favourite characters in the entirety of the manga, but thank god that holds no weight in a fighting game, lol.

I guess it’s not possible to Taunt Cancel his 214 S.off attacks, huh? I couldn’t do anything but I know for sure that doesn’t mean its not possible (since I suck)

Seriously I’m glad to see one of my top 5-6 Jojo characters getting good impressions. I knew Anasui (and weather report) would make great fighting game characters. I can’t wait for the NA release.*

Lovin’ Annasui and i’m a little mad with SOn VannIce, it completely loses do SD spam, they have to buff unblock atks, they are slow, easily avoidable and can be hard punished, at least when SOff he is fun as hell.

He plays like “Boss mode” Ice from HFTF. I wanted an ice that was more solid. That isn’t to say he doesn’t have some interesting tools, I just wanted something a little more balanced and not so extreme.

His jM does crossup, it’s bit harder to hit than his jL though. It was actually a much better crossup attack on release, but one of the patches nerfed the hitbox so it become harder to crossup with. And yeah, the game follows the actual character, not which direction the attack/stand is coming from, so always block relative to where the character himself is.

at least let his stand do normals
