|| Jin Kisaragi || Ride the Icening!

but they dont understand that. its fukkin irritatin they need to go back to SFIV with all that complaining.

i still dont see how u can mash with jin and do “amazing combos” especially when his good combos need to be dash cancelled or jump cancelled.

this guy said jin is the easiest character is fighting game history lmao cuz he beat shit on story mode with jin and his amazing mash combo. the guy cant even jump cancel with ragna but he can do amazing combos with jin lmao.

jin imo isnt necc. easy at low level but he isnt difficult at high level
noel is easy at low level but is difficult at high level

hmm…

That’s actually a pretty good statement. Noel is much more mash friendly then Jin. If you mash with Jin, your gonna hear “Take this!” a lot and flail wildly with Snow Flower. The move has it’s uses, but there’s a reason that it is used very sparingly by high level players: He typically has better options.

People only complain about what they cannot beat, and that’s the way it’s always been. Learn how to not mash on buttons to get your pretty combos out and you won’t run into 90% of what you run into while trying to do it lol. Jin is good but there’s such a HUGE difference between low level jin and high level jin. Low level jin will mostly ride that ice car for days and mash on freezes to save their life. But that doesn’t work in reality, anyone can see that coming most of the time and just block in order to punish. Yes, you can mash out of the freeze as well. Wait till people start playing good litchi’s and get mixed up 4ever lol.

Exactly. GGs yesterday, btw. I still need loads of work, getting his air combos down to muscle reflexes is taking some time (only been playing for a week). Hopefully next time we play my skills will be more leveled up.

demon hyo i feel u, its jus that the message jus doesnt get thru to em. there should be like a “stop scrubbin it up” PSA thread or sumthin.

butters im up for sum matches if ur on XBL right now, u too demon if u want.

Sure, I’ll be on soon.

So I was just in training mode working on my combos when I found that Jin has a pretty nasty throw trap. This may be really old, but if you catch your opponent in the air a jumping B -> C, you 9 jump cancel -> B+C -> 236D and when you land you can just run up and do what ever you want. It’s all red, obviously they can tech the throw, but if you land a B -> C -> 9 -> B -> C -> D -> 214B they’re more then likely to fall for it. And when they do, they can kiss over half of there life goodbye.

On an other note was fighting against a Nu player the other day and I manged to throw counter her out of her teleport dash she does after that wing slash. I fought this same Nu player twice and recorded both matches. I’ll upload them later.

you mean go back to0 SVIF for even more complaining

I remember I joined a lobby of low level noobs and they freaked out because at the time I was level 25, and I had won 49 of my 52 ranked matches…and then one guy chimes in “Oh, not wonder, since he’s using Jin, and his sub is Ragna? What an ORIGINAL combination”

I proceeded to clear the entire room out with Jin and they kicked me.

Low level scrubs have no idea the intricacies of BB and how high level play is different. Let them bitch all they want they’ll be throwing similar comments if you were using characters like Tager or Arakune. I’ve been kicked out of 3 rooms after clearing them all out or promptly after trouncing all over the host. After a while though beating on new people or people who are not familiar with the game gets boring and dulls your skills. Need to fight some skilled people.

Double D:

Not 1st hand knowledge for everyone but it is something that is known for a while. Anything that can be combo’d into a throw can be applied to Jin’s higher level combos. I tend not to do this as the person can tech out of the throw or shake out of the ice by the time you land. You can do a 236 D to refreeze them but the next hit afterwards is where your combo stops as they’ll be able to tech after that, unless someone can correct me if I’m wrong.

Only time I would use that is when I’m looking to finish my opponent off. Usually, if I do a corner combo that ends in 214 D I’ll let them land (they can’t tech right away) 2.C, Jump throw, 236 D and then a 6C for over 5K damage. Not only does it do good damage it will definitely turn some heads if you got a full room.

I had the training dummy set to quick recover everything and I was able to keep the combo going after the B+C -> 236D, 6C -> 5C -> 9 -> B -> C -> 9 -> C or B+C but after that throw they can recover.

After the first throw you’re fine but once you get the second throw they’ll tech out for sure.

I was just in training mode and it appears that by the time you get to the second throw they’ll be able to recover. You can only do so many hits. I did however find out that a good setup combo for this is 6C -> dc -> 5C -> 9 -> B -> C-> B+C -> 236D but if you do this that’s it. They can recover after the next hit (unless you run up 5B -> B+C but that’s too obvious.). I also think I found my new jump in brb combo 9 -> B -> C -> D -> land -> 6C -> dc -> 5C -> 9 -> B -> C -> 9 -> C -> D. It does around 3300 damage and its very hit confirm friendly.

If I ever get a freeze in during a jump in like that I’d prefer knock down options for oki games so depending on the character I would follow up with (after the freeze) dash 5c, jb, jc, jd, B Ice Car. Not as damaging as yours but as I mentioned it’s a knock down and gives Jin more options than allowing your opponent to tech out safely. I always want to be presssuring my opponent on the ground then let him recover and recoup his spacing.

Double D:
Add me to your PSN and we can get some mirrors and swap strats.

I’m still learning so I don’t really know what my options are when I get a knock down . That’s why I go for damage.

Killey I’ll add you as soon as I can. I look forward to it.

Im having a real hard time dealing with pressure. Shit, Im getting pressured by TAGER. are A attacks the best option really for interrupting?

The best thing to do is to zone him as best you can. Just don’t get close to him, or your fucked. Ride the ice car to punish, and if he blocks, rapid cancel and get your ass out of there.

Don’t forget about your 6A+B counter when you have 50% Heat.

Noel is another pressure heavy character im having trouble with. I just want to attack her dammit!!! It doesnt help that shes my least favorite character design… hate dat bitch.

Yea, mainly, you just have to interrupt her Chain revolver, throw out a quick crouching jab and if it connects, throw out 3d (sweep) and you can ice car from there in order to get out of the pressure.
