Can somebody educate me why there is so much hate on Rob Liefeld? He doesn’t draw that bad and yet everywhere I go I see people give him so much flak.
And what is Jim Lee famous for? He looks friendly.

Jim lee is the true korean sensation, and not hung tae Kim. He’s worked on alot of titles which include, X-men, Punisher, Wildcats, Batman, Superman. He’s been around for a decade and still has a huge following. Jim has great use of composition. Freaking wide variety of dynamic poses. Can draw anything. legend.
As for Rob, yeah I repect him for making it in the biz, but he doesn’t know his anatomy. That’s why everyone bashes on him all the time.
i bought a copy of Youngblood once. this bow-and-arrow guy jumps out a window, aims bow at an opponent, speaks 3-5 panel worth of monologue to opponent while hanging in midair, shoots said opponent, and lands. amazing.

man, it was good seeing Jim Lee at work.
as for Rob Liefeld, on top of him not knowing his anatomy, he’s been caught many, many times for ripping off layouts from other artists. There used to be this website, the “Swipe of the Week”, where Liefeld was pretty much a regular for copying layouts from other comics and using them for his own.

Back to JIM …hes a legend…that guy has amazing talent-huge influence on me- actually, he was probably one of the largest reasons why I picked up drawing… back in the day, since he did those “X-Men” reborn covers…was it 1989???..man I feel old :wonder:
