She never said that per say, but she did make Irvin use it. Besides, she’s capcom’s creation. She says whatever they make her say.
I’m just gonna hope that Jill has a few more tricks up her sleeve that we haven’t seen yet? Any Idea what her assists are gonna be? It would be totally awesome if she had a low OTG assist like wesker, cuz then I could replace Wesker on my team Lol
also in the picture where Shuma is grabbing Jill her left foot looks like she had a hideous motorcycle accident
so yeah, I told you that she’d be bland, though her grapples at least look interesting. Aesthetics whise though, she’s basically like Wesker + Morrigan/chun/acrobatic female no#549 with some grabs thrown in.
You know, I’m extremely reminded of Cammy from watching her. Oh well, do enjoy her speed factor though.
That’s still a million times better than “Chun with guns” you were calling her before, at the very least she has several useful specials, and legitimate mixup game with her cross-up dashes, not just “mash legs to win”.
They said the same thing about X-23 and her dashes, yet they are rarely used because everybody in this game is airborne.
I like what I’m seeing in the vid. When the fuck are people going to realise that RE5 Jill is not any way shape or form going to resemble MVC2 Jill?
Good thing Jill can do them in at least 5 ways (we still don’t know if she can dash more that once without Mad Beast install), including up-forward and straight up then. By the way “they” only said that Jill “might” be the fastest character, nothing about her moveset, “they” also called her an acrobatic gun user, so I don’t think Seth actually saw her in a fully playable form. I think he just told us what he was told by the development team. Also, I knew X-23 was gimmicky the moment they showed her.
Thats true…I just hope she has alternate poses like Phoenix/Dark Phoenix…her angry face was like whoa!
Man, that winning shot is strange. Why couldn’t her winning mugshot be something like this? It’s still crazy-looking and it’s still an expression, but at least it doesn’t look terrible.
Unlikely :sad:, even if she had a second win pose that second guy who hacked the game (the one who posted the video) said he was unable to use her Mad Beast, so that was likely her normal (and only) pose.
I don’t get where most of this “Let them change Jill and have Frank summon zombies!” bull s**t is coming from. Fanboyism at it’s finest. God forbid TWO characters of the roster have a movie that summons a zombie, because 10+ of the cast don’t already have beam-like supers, right? MvC2 Jill was so much more inspired than her current incarnation and TvC Frank by heaps and bounds, and they could have easily tweaked moves to make them more useful. They did that with practically the entire returning cast. Just because stuff didn’t work as well as you wanted it to in 2 doesn’t mean it has to be brought back in exactly the same form. (see Web Swing, Drill Claw, etc)
Good point, if they add Akuma and Ryu, they can easily do the same for Old Jill and Frank. Oh well, I don’t mind the New Jill and am just happy to have her in any form.
That’s what I am saying. Changing Jill as much as they did is inexcusable. I’d rather not see her at all, honestly. If it takes too much RAM to render 4 summons, then use the same damn render of 1 zombie for both characters, and for fire zombie, add fire! Problem solved. Now all you have to render is a tiny-ass crow and a dog. Also, RE1 and RE3 Jill models look wholeheartedly better than Battle Suit Jill in every possible way.
Damn…Well if Jill Keeps her Victory pose then I wonder what Jill will say to chris…maybe “Don’t you trust your partner?”…or maybe something to do with Sheva? XD
So much salt in this thread. I like new Jill. Battle Suit JIll from RE5 is her latest incarnation, and I’m glad they decided to put it in a game.
How does this solves the problem? RAM isn’t hard drive space. Both consoles have only 512 mb of RAM (your PC probably has 2 or 4 times of that). Sure they wouldn’t have to design the zombie from scratch, but it would still eat same amount of RAM. I’m tired of you people comment on things you don’t understand. And besides, the game apparently couldn’t handle ONE summon, that’s why Frank didn’t make it in.
Uhh… any good X-23 player will be using the command hops.
What I’m confused about is all the angst over them fnot including a character that almost nobody played and was ass in MvC2… Especially strange since people are acting like it’s some sort of personal insult that MvC2 jill wasn’t added. And coming from some of the same people who spout the “shut up fanboy XYZ was ass” line when you’ve seen people asking for things like Megaman or Cyke or Venom to show up in MvC3.

Anyways, I’m glad they didn’t decide to import the nonsensical and terrible MvC2 Jill and instead added an interesting new character.
Relax people, seeing as how there are DLC costumes, there is definitely going to be a S.T.A.R.S. version of her because they gave Chris one!
Like I said before, I don’t mind the new one too bad and like they started from scratch.
