Dante as anchor is good enough. Has solo mixups, and plenty of options to keep yourself safe. Plus, he’s self sufficient in terms of meter building and usage. I’ve been running him as anchor for most of my time in marvel. (A bit over a month, take that as you will)
i have another chris team consisting of chris, sentinel, and haggar. drones and lariat are excellent assists for chris. starting with zero meter almost any hit chris lands including a ground magnum will equal over a million damage and if he get’s a throw it’s over 900k in damage. all without having to DHC! i also have a combo starting off of a lariat assist hit that does about a million in damage but needs some meter to begin with. this is my strongest point chris team.
You gotta post a video of that some time, it sounds sick. Do you run it with Haggar on anchor or Sentinel? Haggar with Drones is vicious, but if you have him on anchor, I’d like to know what benefits that has for Sentinel or the team in general.
Does anyone have a comprehensive list on which assists Chris can convert a grenade launcher hyper off with? Will try out Repulsor assist on iron man. And trying with Dante’s Jam Session, might also try weasel shot.
Actually this would be a useful list to compile. If I have time, maybe I will look into this.

you mentioned in a couple of posts earlier your method of landing the grenade launcher using drones which is call drones before jumping magnum, flamethrower. the key to my damage is to call drones between magnum and flamethrower. this allows for stuff like any combo ending with otg pistol with lariat, flamethrower, s, superjump back magnum, call drones, flamethrower, grenade m, grenade launcher super, flamethrower, sweep combo super. actually that combo ender is the sole reason why i get the damage and meter gain that i do. if i were to do a video it’ll just be a bunch of combos starting with zero meter ending with that combo ender.
i place haggar last for the following reasons:
-dhc into sentienls supers are both safe and more damaging
-sentinel hard drive avoids all incoming mixups allowing me some way to safely bring in haggar and he will always have meter since chris’s combos cost almost none
-lariat assist is more abuseable
-sentinel’s hyper sentinel force dhc’s into grenade launcher super allowing a followup with chris that builds 1 meter back
the team can really work in any order but i’d say sentinel is probably the best xfc 3 comeback character.
Gotcha. Yeah, I also call Drones in between magnum and flamethrower. I mixed myself up, haha. I also misunderstood your post because when you said you could get 900K without DHC off a throw, I immediately thought you meant one bar. I was crazy hype to see what you had, but now I realize. I’m glad I get the same damage with my team as well. Haggar’s always interested me but I’ve never brought myself to play him. Jam Session does well for me though, so I’m good. The highest damage I can get with 2 bars is 1.18 million. Wish I could get 1.2 to kill Haggars and Hulks…

does chris do well with akuma? chris/dante/akuma. been playing those two since vanilla, decided to pick up chris
He does. Akuma’s assist works well against projectiles plus, it does a good job of keeping off opponents.
wasnt there a glitch where if Chris shoots a gun from behind akuma’s tatsu assist the bullets dont go past akumas tatsu because it nullifies it? or did they patch that out?

Nope. There never was a glitch like that. Do you mean when Chris shoots any projectile against Akuma’s tatsu, period? Not when Chris calls out Akuma and does that tatsu assist?
Never heard any Akuma user say anything about it or even a Chris user. It’s not even stated in the guide.

Confirmed a few things:
Dante: Jam Session helped me convert a combo into a grenade launcher hyper, but it was off a weird situation. After throwing a grenade, I ended up sort of under the opponent so the vertical grenade shot hit him. Couldn’t get it to work again, lol.
Doom: Hidden Missiles also lets you use a grenade launcher hyper. I use c. :h: f.:h::s: :h::s: jump Gunfire :h: call doom here f.:h::s: :h::s: Grenade missiles hit Grenade launcher hyper.
So now I’m just debating whether to use
Chris/Dante(jam)/Doom(Missiles) or Chris/(Doom Missiles)/Dante(Weasel Shot)
Meh, I don’t think there’s any reason why you shouldn’t use Jam Session. If you think about it, Chris’s main function is to play keep away and do as much chip damage as possible. With an assist like Jam Session to help you keep off the more aggressive opponents, and the fact that I think it can lead to more devastating combo’s makes it a no brainer.
It’s about the order. I can also run Jam on the 2nd team, but i was thinking Doom would need something like weasel shot to act like a semi-amaterasu assist.
