Jill fell out of a window. The Chris Redfield Teammates discussion thread

As a Hulk user, I feel I need to say this. Banner’s easy to use, but hard to master.

With that said, go for it. Hulk is Chris’ finest partner.

Yeah, seems like I need more time with Hulk to use him better. Mastering him doesn’t seem to difficult to me, however. Tricky, perhaps.

If I may ask, what is TAC’ing? But yeah, Chris and Hulk seem to go very well together I want to try them out more.

Team Aerial Combo, I can’t really find a lot of good synergy assist-wise /w Hulk and Ryu, so sometimes I do Chris’ BnB and the second time i’m in the air instead of launching back down I swap to Hulk and do his air combo into downward launch and then either OTG/Gamma Quake or Gamma Crush (corner) or if you come out the wrong way / don’t end up in the corner, just Gamma Tsunami

I think doing it into Gamma Quake is around 770k damage, otg->crush is more, gamma tsunami is less

So I have decided to run Chris/Haggar/Arthur

This team is more of a team to have a little fun with. I am having a hard time to figure out what assist to use for Arthur. I want one to help extend combos for Chris and cover Haggar to get in.

Haggar is gonna help Chris because if people come in and get hit by it I can jump Magnum into a combo for decent damge. What would be the most optimal combo off of that you suppose? I could also use Arthur assist to fill the screen with more shit.

Oh and Arthur will be there for that good ol level 3 XFC Gold Armor Cheese

Isn’t the Fire Bottle the best Arthur assist, as it OTG’s and allows combos to extend? Also, in Gold Armor Fire Bottle assist will cover all the ground.

Ah yes, Team Aerial Combos. I always forget about those…

I was brainstorming teams that I could use to effectively get the Crossover-Combination achievement, and I came up with Chris/Storm/Tron. I think now Storm ay be a better anchor, so I may swap orders around in future. Regardless, I think they all go great with each other. Storm adds a little to Chris’ zoning game gaps with Whirlwind and covers Tron’s lack of decent projectile; Tron’s Gustaff Fire is obviously godly on the defensive (both teammates) or perhaps keeping combos going (chiefly Chris), and is considered one of the best assists in the game anyway; lastly, Chris’ Gun Fire aids in coverage for Storm’s zoning and also covers Tron’s lack of decent projectile.

My favourite aspect about this team, however, is how good their THCs are. The damage, screen coverage and chip potential almost feels like cheating every time I hit both assist buttons. And with at least two strong batteries in the team, there will be plenty of meter for throwing them out.

For arthur’s assist, I would recommend his dagger assist. With that assist you could hit 700,000+ from full-screen off st. magnum (for 2 meters depending on your team setup or 3 for chris’ lvl.3 hyper).

My Team is Chris, Sentinel and Haggar

please suggest me some combos or vids about the 3 of them making them an invincible team hehe tnx in advance

it seems more and more people are choosing haggar as a partner. besides being a great assist and allowing you to combo into the grenade launcher super after an air combo he has some other uses on point.

i play chris 1st haggar 2nd and akuma 3rd. other teams will have haggar last but i think that’s wasteful. my haggar plays three main roles when he is out on point.

  1. believe it or not playing keepaway. i usually bring him in so chris can heal. with his scary ass jumping pipe and wiff airthrow he actually does a very good job of keeping the opponent away from him. and most opponents will try to zone him out anyway.
  2. build meter by losing health. if he ever does get hit he’ll build a ton of meters from being damaged.
  3. deal damage whenever he can. preferably ending in a dhc combo into another character if they’re at full life or healed.

if i ever have haggar with akuma last depending on the matchup i’ll bring in akuma safely so he can use lariat assist. with akumas low health i never want him to enter into a mixup that can kill him after a point partner’s death so with haggar last sometimes i’ll abuse haggar’s assist until he dies so akuma can use the level 3 xfactor because akuma is the much better powered up anchor if i ever need it.

ive learned that chris actually works great as an anchor…his gun fire assist is a solid assist…and yes i agree with everyone when they say that haggar is perfect for chris…I run Zero/Haggar/Chris…with chris you need a point character that can build meter and can esssentially hold his own…haggar is a no brainer and chris with lvl 3 x factor hits like a truck…(2 hit magnum combo does like 800000!!) and he is very self reliant in the corner…by that i mean he doesnt need any assists to extend his combos and can keep people out(with smart mine placement of course) and after haggar assist chris can gun pop for a full OTG combo

Nice to see some Chris/Hulk discussion. Still maining my Chris/Hulk/Doom team that i’ve been using since launch.

What DHCs do you guys usually use for Chris/Hulk? The most common ones I use is OTG Gamma Quake DHC into Sweep Combo in the corner, and Sweep Combo DHC into Gamma Crush, but there must be more viable ones.

I may not be good, but I love my team: Chris/Storm/Hulk.

I keep Chris on point strictly for his keep-away game. Launching with Machine Gun and using Hulk’s Gamma Wave assist along with Chris’s flamethrower to deter anyone from trying to get in close. I’m still trying to get used to Chris’s magnum relaunch, but I just can’t get it right consistently. Depending on the matchup, I switch between Chris and Hulk on point, and I use Storm to DHC glitch into Ice Storm and rush down.

When I have Hulk on point and I have my opponent in the corner, I try to use Gamma Tsunami into Chris’s Sweep combo… Doesn’t always work, though. I normally resort to Storm’s Ice Storm.

I’ve seen a lot of people going Chris/Haggar lately, I got a corner combo about 700k with only 1 meter using Haggar assist. Not too shabby.

after experiment with other assists since the game came out (about 4.5 months?) i can assure you all that haggar is the single best assist for chris. i actually think this is one of the best duos in the game. he not only helps in defense and combos but he also helps greatly in resets and mixups because of chris’s ability to self otg and his standing throw into damaging combos as options that many other characters do not have.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. Haggar covers the area that Chris has the most trouble with so he can zone without worrying about the random rushdown characters packing his shit in from the top of his head every 2 seconds. I think hidden missles and jam session work well to cover vertical space for Chris also. Assist that protect Chris’ vertical axis are the best for him since like all of his shit purposely shoots forward.

I don’t feel like having Haggar as anchor, he is much more helpless than Hulk(Play Hulk as 2nd) in XF

Or when Haggar assist hits go for d+h xfc into death combo

I think Spencer is Chris best assist, Doom is also an excellent assist for chris (molecular shield). Wesker is also a good assist for chris and works great as an anchor/user character. He is a good matchup for many of chris bad matchups (of course, he’s currently ranked number 2 in the game de facto of course, but I guess that’s redundant lol). I’m currently running two chris teams like this Chris Doom Wesker, Chris Spencer Wesker. Both teams have great synergy.

Current team is Chris (Grenade Toss)/Storm (Whirlwind)/Spencer (Slant Shot). Spencer assist is great for combos, he makes a good anchor, and his DHC options are great to boot. Storm helps Chris deal with Sentinel Drones as well as overly aggressive Wolverine players. Plus you can’t go wrong with a DHC into Hailstorm.

As an avid Haggar and Chris player, Haggar under ideal circumstances should never be your last character. With the amount of bad Haggars out there, people get seriously mindfucked when they face one that actually knows what he’s doing and isn’t just throwing out aerial pipes hoping to get lucky. It’s the same with Tron and her aerial H. Save your anchor for someone who has a chance to make a reasonable comeback (aka someone who can get in without relying on assists). Chris can depending on the matchup and in my case, I use Wesker because he balances out my team perfectly and is usually a good cleanup if I lose my first two characters.

I am more hyped for the new character’s assist and their DHC to work with Chris.
