Well, the problem with that is if she does it too deep(hitting Rog in the torso ), it’s completely safe vs everything. It was one of the first moves I tried along with Hazanshu and IOH j.HK. You can kara super against it, but Ultra has not worked if she properly spaces it, nor has EX Dash Straight/Upper or EX Headbutt. But now that I look at it there are a couple moves that have been omitted regardless. Yes, meaty cr.LK is punishable. But perhaps there’s something I’m missing, just hit me up if I have it backwards. No problem. And yes, that is exactly what I mean. For a lot of these moves, if used as a meaty or simple safe jump against your wakeup, it really doesn’t require any effort to kara ultra. Either they meatied you properly and all you have to do is input the motion as soon as you get up, and it will activate, or they improperly meatied and you will just get whichever dash punch you prefer to cancel into Ultra (I use Torpedo Punch since it’s nonpunishable by everything in the game, iirc). Don’t really try to use it outside of your wakeup game, timing is a pain for a lot of people and fishing for those moves at random outside of EX Fireballs or Scissor Kicks is just begging to have all of your EX burned on nothing.
whats an armor ultra? is it doing an ultra using the ex armor glitch?
If there’s one thing I need right now, it’s to play people like you (and Issei.) I’m an up-and-coming Akuma who just needs to play better people. Would you be down for some matches sometime?
Nice list. I think the only one that is viable for me to do though is punishing ex psycho with ultra.
what is the exact motion to execute EX armor ultra against crouching meaties??
is it: B, F, 2P B, F, 3P?? i’ve only done it once in a match through sheer luck, i cant get it down for the life of me even in training mode
The motion is charge B, F, B+PP(or KK), F+PPP(or KKK). the Back+PP(or KK) has to be the hit absorb or the armor cancel wont work)
I do b,f 3P b,f 3P. It registers a lot easier that way.
Yeah, somewhat the same for me, and I just time it like a point blank Dash Straight xx Super.
In my opinion you are just making it harder on yourself any other way.
Though technically I do db, df+KKK, db, df+KKK, as Torpedo Punch is -1 on block so it can’t even be punished by Zangief’s reversal jab SPD, something EX Dash Straight can’t boast about.
Plus I can just ride the square gate which makes it even easier.

Number 10 is actually sweet, you just need to be really tight with the dash ultra input. I still need alot of work on mine, one good way to practice it in training mode is to Lvl2 focus the guy and dash ultra him.
And seriously, does anyone know if the forced stand (#1) works on anyone else? And does the anti-crossup (#8 i think) work on any other special move crossups, demon flip kick maybe? Not in a position to test it myself for a couple days.
demon flip crossup might be too fast and/or too close for the ultra. It should work fine on akuma’s teleport tho
Yea the inputs have to be super clean on #10 for it to work. I noticed when I was messing with it, you have more leeway when your close to ryu, and when farther your timing has to much tighter for the ultra to connect.

A really nice trick that Moose (one of East Coast’s best Balrogs) showed me -vs- sagat is that balrog’s far st. strong beats Sagat’s standing RH clean and you can buffer it into super. If it whiffs, super wont come out, if it hits, super comes out for a nice punish. It’s definitely something to try.

St. forward is a very good underused poke because it has good range and a big hitbox. It also does the same damage as Rog’s Cr. RH and is only 1 frame slower and slightly less range. It is very good to for stuffing shoto’s that like to spam cr. Forward AND it can be focus canceled or canceled into super. A nice safe trick I do vs Shotos and Rufus players that abuse df+forward (the rolling attack) is after a block string, walk back and press st.Forward buffered with Super. Since I walked back, the st. forward whiffs if they dont press anything and super will not come out. However, if the shoto tries to cr. Forward or cr. RH , rog’s st. forward will beat it clean and it will cancel into super for a big punish. The same applies to rufus doing his rolling attack.
how does this work exactly? won’t the super come out regardless?
btw, i was messing with st.forward today… that move is excellent. it has better range that it looks like it does, and it’s active frames are great.

no because it will whiff if they dont throw out the c.mk so the cancel wont occur. only if the st forward hits / is blocked for some reason, will the super come out.
PR Rog uses this a lot with Standing Jab it seems after block strings or on wakeup. he will take a step back and throw it out. if the player tries to throw something out, he gets punished. If the jab connects its cancelled into dash punch. If not, no harm.
