They were the ones who kept getting caught. The GOOD ninja clans are still going strong.
You guys are probably too young to know, but ninja-related crime was just running rampant in the 80’s. White house was no exception. I’m sure they are still around.
If it can’t sustain itself and it doesn’t do the world any good, why preserve it? Besides, how long has it been since ninjas were relevant? Any kind of accurate preservation is probably already impossible.
See now pirates… those guys are still around! They didn’t need anyone to help preserve their art of piracy.
Ninjas would only kill one target, piracy hurts consumers as well as developers! When was the last “talk like a ninja” day?
After all these years, we can finally declare a winner!
IIRC it was mostly about assassinations of political figures while avoiding direct combat. Sort of like the modern day sniper.
Did the dinosaurs do the world any “good”? Why preserve their fossils and explore them? “Good” or “bad” by your personal values shaped by your local culture are not the case here. It’s something that happened, a part of history, and having knowledge about the past is always good.
“Assassin” may have a negative meaning but when it’s for your side you call him a “hero” to make it positive even though it’s the same exact role, like the troops who killed Osama bin Laden.
If those are true then these two guys are not really ninjas. They already broke the ninja creed by making such claims.
That’s what they want us to think. They are supposedly masters of deception.

what better way for the ninja’s to hide, then to claim there are no more ninja’s???
One time, I was hiking in this remote location and I think I saw a ninja village. I took a pic of it.

Ninjitsu is an art, not just defined by the people who do it. I know a couple people here in Canada who practice Ninjitsu, and one who travels to Japan every year to learn from the best.
Dont believe everything you hear ya’ll
…
I answered “Yes” in the poll; it is time for the ancient art of ninjitsu to slumber once more. Only when the world is in grave peril should the way of shadows once again be awakened.
This is genius, there is no better way to return to the shadows than proclaiming that there are not more ninjas.
The greatest trick ninja ever pulled was convincing the world they no longer existed…
Master Splinter will always be here.
this automatically plays in my head after reading this news…

Ninjas are stupid. Good riddance.
i guess that means the answer is PIRATES.
Learning about fossils and all is great, and learning about ninjas is great too. It’s just that ninjas themselves shouldn’t have to be preserved, if the world doesn’t need them anymore, like they themselves have said. It’s not like we’re trying to bring dinosaurs back, right? Let dinosaurs be dinosaurs and ninjas be ninjas. Don’t force them to stay if they don’t want to.
If Naruto is the first thing that comes to mind upon hearing ‘Ninja’, then I fear for upcoming generations.
Perhaps it is all a ploy to subvert the younger into forgetting the true nature of ninja.
Not much different about ninja than any other spy and assassination clan/mercenary group in any other part of the world throughout history, just that their survival tricks were conflated into mystical powers via recounts, hyperbole, and myth. That, and they became rad in the late 80’s.
Naruto ruined Ninjas.
Admit it.
