yeah how come he didn’t play? i seriously doubt it he didnt qualify.
From what I heard, he didn’t enter cause he was broke…but he showed up to a post-sbo session and something like only 2 people (one being a chun) were able to beat him out of almost all the top players.
Anyway, I’ll get ahold of some of these dvds soon enough.
Someone told me that MOV told him this:
Kuroda taught Rx how to play urien… when kuroda is playing urien, rx sit beside him and watch…and then MOV raised one hand high above his head, and said, this is kuroda’s level, and then lower his hand by a lot and said this is where rx is…
I’ve also heard that kuroda does a different unblockable setup with oro every time…lol…i haven’t seen these vids …so no comment on his urien/oro

Recap of what happened: I spotted Kuroda and asked a translator to ask him if he would mind doing a little video interview. I mentioned that he had many fans around the world who would appreciate a few words from him. First he gave me a dirty look, then just said no and turned away. The translator himself just told me “He’s just like that…”
Then he started playing. He picked Hugo and just beasted. Me, Prince (Ken + Urien player), Raju and C4 (Chun) were joined by some Japanese players in trying to take him off. I guess the only things I can remember from his games against the others was how his defence was perfect - and any attempt to dash in was usually punished with 360’s and 720’s.
For my games, I just couldn’t believe that my Akuma was getting handled by a Hugo. Anyone watching those matches would think that akuma stood no chance against Hugo. After a few losses, the games turned into his Hugo rushing me down.
Air fireballs were countered with jumping jabs. Demon flips the same. Teleports countered with dash then EX clothesline. When I finally decided to go for early jump attacks - he would somehow know what I decided and started using shootdown backbreakers. I closed down his 360s on my dashes with the f+mp gimmick. That gave me some leverage to dash in. However dash throws never worked - always teched. Dash f+mp didn’t last long as he started red parrying the second hit…
Eventually I realized that dash demons were the one thing he wasn’t countering. So as someone mentioned earlier, that final game between us was just me landing a raging demon (easy) then running away and building bar again (VERY hard). However I really want to watch those DVDs now. Any chance that the owner of those DVDs will burn/send me a copy for a price? I can believe that Kuroda is the best in Japan - whenever I TRIED talking to any of the Jap players (I cant speak any Japanese) the only message they got across to me when I tried asking about “strong player? good player? best player? Umehara?” was “Aaaah - Kuroda… berry berry strong…” I remember TM and Ruu were shaking their heads after saying that.
Alright, so we’ve established that the translator is a liar.
