hes not the best with every character, but he’s probably the best player along with MOV. Fran knows his shit :clapdos:
Kuroda isn’t world’s best. This is subjective, but I think K.O is better.
Not that tournament format matters much, but he did beat Kuroda and everyone else.
But Kuroda is a Q player, and KO is a Yun player. Also, if you want to say KO is a Yang player, Roshi has a better Yang.
Kuroda OCV’ing three teams with Q at this SBO > anything KO did.
You saw Roshihikari beat K.O one time, so you say he has better Yang. That doesn’t mean anything, it’s just 1 match. I’ve lost a match even from shitty players, but that doesn’t mean they are better than me. You can simply get lucky and win sometimes. K.O is better, but Roshihikari is not too far behind.
KO is without a doubt one of the best, and arguing over who is better between Kuroda and KO is unresolvable, but Kuroda has won SBO, and KO has not, so I’d lean towards Kuroda even though I’d still put KO in the top 5 of all 3s players.
Roshi has always played Yang, he’s more experienced. Calling Roshi a noob, lol.
Easy there. Although we’ve seen Roshi play Yang forever it must be noted that iirc K.O originally played Yang, too. It’s possible that he has in fact, played Yang longer. And RyukenDenX never called Roshi a noob; he was referring to the players he plays.
Winning one [mirror] match doesn’t prove anything. Winning several [mirror] matches proves who’s better at that particular matchup. That is all.
This is all just an objective standpoint. Were I to go deeper it could be said that K.O’s got far more going for him. From K.O’s outstanding showings at Evolution 2k3 and 4, Mikado beastings, shitting on ppl on GGPO (of all things), consistent SBO showings and the ability to play several characters competently I have a rather hard time thinking Roshi’s better, or even in the same class.
Yes. Just like Ruu never won Ryu mirror in Gamer’s Vision tournament, but he’s still one of top Ryu players in Japan.
It doesn’t matter who played Yang longer time. K.O and Roshihikari know all Yang’s setups, combos, etc. It’s not important how much time they spent playing him in tournaments because they won’t gain more new knowledge about Yang there. You learn the game by grinding in casuals and training mode.
Roshi being a SA3 Yang most of the time takes away his biggest threat which is EX slashes. But he is uniquely knowledgable about how SA3 works and that in itself is also something note worthy. Two different styles of play, it would be rather stupid to say one of them is “better” than the other.
ah i see chikyuu !
i don’t think chikyuu’s necro is that really good . who is the best necro player ?
I thought KO was a Dud player first? Dunno.
So KO loses to noobs? I don’t understand… A loss is a loss in a tourney.
Was KO using Yun, or Yang when he was beasting? I always thought KO had the best Yun.
Sugiyama
KO is cursed whenever he joins SBO tourney .:pleased:
Never heard that one personally. Maybe. :xeye:
Never said that; agree with the 2nd part. Hell a loss is a loss anywhere. I find “what is a loss?” to be a more pertinent question.
He’s been seen beasting with both along with dudley, akuma and chunli iirc. And K.O having the best Yun is debatable and just goes back to all that other stuff ppl were talking about.
Correction: You’ve never seen him win. It’s been stated countless times “It didn’t happen cuz I didn’t see it” is a flawed standpoint as no one has an all-seeing eye. We see what the japanese people [are generous enough to] allow us to. Nothing more. Perhaps you think you’ve seen numerous Ruu mirror matches on YouTube but compiled together I’m sure they last no more than an hour (if that). I think you know that Ruu plays the game far more than an hour and has put it far more than an hour on mirror matches with other good Ryus. Shit, I remember when it seemed like Pierre (Urien player) was getting shitted on EVERY SINGLE Gamer’s Vision ranbat but everytime he’s up there in Top 8 or whatever and no one considers the high turnout these events have and the wall of players he had to defeat to get there.
If you’re implying that having more experience with a character has no value I’d have to disagree. Granted after a certain point a player can catch up with even their teacher (see: 5 star vs Ayehood), putting [more] time into a game is known to pay dividends. It’s not about knowledge of combos and setups; it’s about knowledge of human behavior. Learning every combo/setup/weird shit doohickey is far, far less than the amount of effort required to beat a top player. At that level everyone knows everything; it’s what they do with it that makes the difference between winning and losing.
Raishin is very wise.:china:
K.O and Roshihikari have same about the same knowledge on Yang, so the winner will be determined by who plays better.
