To be honest, it all basically just comes from actually playing and getting raped. SC2 HAS to be the most unforgiving game I’ve ever played. Video games don’t EVER make me mad, because I could usually care less, but man, this game makes me rage… but getting beat makes you better. If someone is actually faster than me I watch the replays over and over to see what I could do better… it sounds like you’re pretty solid though.
My PSN is GANGANSTYLE. I’ll add you guys up when I sit down for games tomorrow. I usually play 4PM~7PM weekdays and mornings on the weekends.
cool should be back in town sometime next week
Lol I can’t even do a good DT drop or sentry drop yet. I usually macro a lot which is bad vs zerg. The current building I am trying to get down is a 12 gate expand… basically wall off with forge gate core then expand after 2 gas and sentry/stalker/cannon defence at wall off. I out up my Robo after the second nexus gets down bit the ai usually bumrushes at that time (10 min) and I lose my natural expansion / the game.
I figured bronze and silver league would not pose as much issues because timing would not be good as the ai… bit I like to be prepared for getting my ass kicked rather than bending over.
I will buy sc2 when I get back from vacation and will try my luck out then.

The problem with this is, Battle.Net is a son of a bitch. There really is no such thing as bronze or silver league anymore. The game has been out for so long that 90% of players are gold league or above now. You’ll still face people that are ranked “silver” or “bronze,” but then you check out their profile and see they have been diamond league or master league for every season since the game has been out until this one. So really, the learning curve is being a newbie straight to gold league level lol. I think I had somewhere around 200 losses before I started getting wins. To be honest, your build order should look something like this
probe
probe
probe (this should be your 9th probe)
pylon
probe
probe (chrono boost 11th probe)
probe
gateway
probe (chrono boost 13th probe)
probe
pylon
probe
forge
probe
zealot
gateway
expand to your natural (minute 3:30), two pylons, 1-3 cannons (depending on how offensive your opponent is, but usually it will be only 1)
Cybernetics Core
Just something like that. I know I’m missing stuff because I’m just listing it off…

This will give you a decent idea of what to do, its the first vid I watched to learn protoss. People expand much faster than he does now though, he does it at like 5 minutes or something, like I said, people expand by 3:30 now though. A smart thing to do is build all your buildings to wall off your natural rather than your main right from the get go and get that one cannon and a couple zealots, 2-3 sentries, and a couple stalkers. For the most part I honestly don’t even worry about sentries though, you don’t need them until about platinum/diamond level.
I watched all of appalos tutorials and he does it the damn easy and safe way.
I always wall off at my natural but the AI I go against does a push at 10 min and devastates me. If I follow your timing I could have a better macro going and defending/countering the first push would be much easier.
When I get back to Tokyo and buy SC2 let’s do some FFA and teams dude. I really need to play vs human as AI gets boring.
Is there a SC2 thread on SRK? Need to get a SRK SC2 Japan team going.
What server do you play on BTW?
I watch husky all the time too. I just love is castings.

Probably the American server, I have no idea to be honest, but I’d love to play some teams dude. My 2’s partner and I are the same skill level, so including you, we need one more person for a good 4’s team. I don’t think SRK has an SC2 forum lol. When do you get back?
YO WHATSUP GUYS. Sorry I’m a little excited because I leave for Tokyo on Monday!
I posted a while back about studying abroad in Tokyo and now it’s actually happening. I’ll be staying in Shinjuku this fall.
My hotel/dorm is about 10 minutes from Mikado Game Center so I’ll be going there to play a lot of 3rd Strike mainly.
I just recently got into P4A (my first anime game) and will be bringing my PS3 with me so feel free to add me PSN- Dankah
I’m down to play anything and go bar hopping so if people wanna drink and get some games in let me know, first round is on me!
PS: Sadly I don’t play SC2
I actually dabble in like, every fighting game, I’ll make sure to send you an invite. I’ve been playing a TON of T6 in anticipation of TTT2’s release. I play a little P4A but anime fighters really aren’t my thing, even though I love the Persona series.
Ill be down to play p4a whenever! Add prouddisciple on ps3 and xbox360

I started recording again and have gotten some P4A footage. Hoping to play more in the future and improve on my kanji!

Hey guys!
I’m from Canada and I’ll be travelling to Japan from September 3rd- 17th and I was wondering about arcades that still have the 3rd strike scene. I’ll be in Osaka and Tokyo mainly and the hotels that I’ll be staying at are:
Osaka
Shin-Osaka Station Hotel
1-16-6 Higashinakajima, Higashiyodogawa-ku, Osaka, Osaka-fu, 533-0033
Fraser Residence Nankai
1-17-11 Nanbanaka, Naniwa-ku, Osaka, Osaka-fu, 556-0011
Tokyo
Cube Ueno Express
6-7-19 Ueno, Taito-ku, Tokyo, 110-0005
Unfortunately, I don’t really play SSF4AE due to lack of console but I do play 3rd strike a lot. I’ve been told that Nagoya and Tokyo still have a 3s community but I don’t know where to look. If anyone can help me out that would be awesome!
I’m not in Japan but the spot you want is called Game Versus!
Here’s a link for some SRK guys out there also
That would be Tokyo, if I’m not mistaken. Mikado and a-cho are also big name arcades with every game, but a-cho is very far from Tokyo? Different province/town.
Reno is our Kansai guy, so he would be best to get that stuff clarified for you. mind you, he works his ass off AFAIK, so he may take time to reply.
Ueno is a good spot if not great for getting to the various arcades with ease. use this train search site for getting around:

Headed to Tokyo in the coming weeks for some Super Turbo and Capcom vs SNK 2 action. Would you guys be able to give me some tips on cheap places to stay in Tokyo (non-hostel)? I’d like to avoid spending more that $50 a night if possible, but I know understand that Tokyo isn’t the cheapest. Perhaps there are some nearby towns that have inexpensive hotels?
Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks
I’ve stayed at the Juyoh hotel in the north east of the city before. Quite cheap, not bad quality (just no frills and a tiny room) and decent access.
manga kissa is the way to go
just look for a manboo, moopa, or gera gera. They are all over Tokyo.
You pick up P4A? I love this game soooo much!!!
