i think so, not 100% sure about that though. (ive only been to the beginners tourney lol)
For TRF you need cards but maybe since you guys are who you are maybe you will get in.
its possible that you dont need cards to join the friday open tourney, though. best if you go with someone who can speak japanese as a backup plan or summin. id love to help but i have things to do this friday. maybe next time.

if im not mistaken, its BIGBOX(a few stations from shinjuku on yamanote line, i’ll update with info)… yeah i was checkin on the top players the other day and most of them were playing there.
edit: its Taito Station BIGBOX @ Takadanobaba. From ikebukuro, take the jr yamanote line heading towards shinjuku. Its 2 stations before shinjuku.

i havent been there but according to the official site, its directly in front of your eyes when you exit the station. you should be able to see a taito station or “BIGBOX” or summin.
