how did japanese mvc2 run online, could you still pull off mag infinetes etc just curious how it ran. of course talking bout the import version.

Japanese version of Marvel let’s you play online with a dreamcast. I heard it sucked because it was all 56k, though.

all though before the DC died out from production, there was a release of a broadband modem for it. Something like that could make one hell of a difference but I could still see it being laggy.

I guess once the naomi board that runs mvc2 gets cracked and put on an emulator, we can have mvc2 on ggpo!

So if you wanted to get all the characters on the jap version…how would you go about doing it?? i got internet connection…i need all my characters HELP!!!

You need to buy an EMS memory card and download a hacked save off gamefaqs.

Theres also an option there to download directly to your DC which I haven’t tried.

Yea i heard of the Ems Card lol but couldnt find anything…yea and i have no clue how to d-load directly from the dreamcast either lol…thanks BBSF

I had a broadband adapter and tried to play alpha 3 online a long time ago. I could never get it to work though. I think CVS2 also had a netplay option. Never did try mvc2 though.

Dreamcast broadband adapters are pretty rare now. This one sold today for 145.50 USD, plus shipping.

you can go online with your dreamcast with the browser disc and download a save from gamefaqs to unlock the characters.

It always will as long as there are ISP’s around that support it.

It’s just the Sega servers went down years ago. But you could still browse the internet through a Dreamcast. Hell, I did that shit till late 2005.

Just play the game.

It takes longer,but you can still unlock everybody via the regular PP(I think that’s what they are called) points.
