PRESS & MEDIA WILL BE PRESENT

If this goes will also Ybm will be conducting multiple tournaments during the next event.

Does anyone know this guy? Mysterious tournaments sound sketchy… In either case, this isnt the proper forum to post it. Either post in our thread or on the events thread.

Its legit trust me they are friends of mine. They work at Jamestown theater and they want to run a tourny. Now i was not sure of the best way to notify people so I told them (well common sense says) Post it on the MIDWEST HERP DERP forums.

If this is not the best way to notify the community what would be sir. I take it you mean the St louis Garbage thread is what they should be posting it in right? I also told them to post it in the events section of SRK also.

How many setups are there going to be?

There will be 4 stations at YBM Studios…And 1 Movie Theater Auditorium that holds 176 people, with a screen exceeding 70 ft.

I know a random tournament out of nowhere seems like “OK, what is this?” My company has been around since Feb. 2009 & this IS the 1st gaming tournament I’m putting together. Which is why I’m making a guaranteed cash pot of $300 no matter what. Police, Security, Mall Officials, Media & Press will be there…so there is nothing to worry about as far as scamming goes. You are also more than welcome to call & talk 2 me if you have any further questions. P.S. I originally posted this in the Tournament section. My host posted a copy in this thread. I will also look & post in this St. Louis Section you speak of.

hmmm ill be there its not far from my house im gonna see if i can put this on facebook or you guys should do it You guys should put tekken in if ya can that would get MORE people to comae also…

Although I don’t play it, the Tekken scene is pretty decent here. You’re guaranteed more asses if you put that in.

LOL at them still calling Jamestown Mall a mall. But I’m intrigued. Should be posted in the tournaments thread. And the more you give away, the more likely it’ll be stickied

If you live in MO, support this. Although we don’t know anything about it yet, It might be good in the future. I’ll try to be there.

If you need help , let us know. I don’t know much but I do know a lot of people in the scenes.

Some advices for your first tournament:

  • Reduce the entry fees for people with game system/monitor . This will help you with more set ups = smoother tournament
-Add on a tekken tournament. Saint louis tekken is really popular. Split the cash pot between ssf4 and tekken.
-If you’re not familiar with running tournament, let the player run the bracket for you. They’d run more efficent.
-Don’t be shady with prize/money. Be clear about it. If you’re good, words will come out. More people will come out to support.

Don’t hestitate to ask us for help. We’re really friendly.

Q&a

Thanks so much for the support. Im posting a FB page & event Dec. 6th the day of sign ups. Add me on Facebook “Lilton Hookz Stewart III” my email is hdoubleokz@hotmail.com if you cant find me by name. I want to do dual games in the future. But since this is my 1st hosted tourney, I dont want to get to in over my head. Besides this will be a Bi-Monthy event with different games. So hopefully we can tap into the other games at the same time.

Q&a

LOL, Jamestown Mall is trying to make a comeback. This is one of the attempts on my behalf since they have been helping my business so much. As I stated in the earlier comment. This is my 1st one, & I didnt want to over do myself & have errors & or flaws. Plus, Ive already got posters, banners, tickets, etc. I actually have the main post in the tournament section. My tournament host created this thread. But I appreciate all the support we can get. Im trying to make St. Louis a larger game community.

Q&a

I REALLY appreciate the advice…And I really like the reduced rate for players with systems & monitors. That would be EXCELLENT! I actually have the tournament being set up by an actual GAMER who is also the host. If you check the Tournament & Events Section, I update it regularly & it has all the official breakdowns. Although Im to far in to add Tekken as a Co-Exist with SSF4. It may be an option for Bonus Prize Giveaway matches. If you can help me with getting the word out, shoot me an email to ybmgamersfest@gmail.com or call me at 1-636-336-2921 ask for Hookz & we can talk & set up more. I need all the help I can get. I want this to be BIG for the city. And again, Thank you.

Update!
