[Jan 11, 2013] Apex 2013 $6000+ in Prizes AE|UMVC3|TTT2|KOF|P4U|SCV (New Brunswick, NJ 08901)

Due to space we might not have a HUGE one but I am sure if you bring and setup and ask we can figure something out

Sounds like a plan

Since the games are being run on PS3 this year what are the rules on the use of wireless controllers? I can’t find those rules anywhere?

will be in NYC for 2 months after xmas west coast incoming

Wireless controllers are banned. I will make sure to get those rules up after NEC

Do not forget to register guys!

Will games be run on ASUS monitors (tournament standard)?

I’d definitely like to know this as well.

Big E is providing the equipment so it will be on Asus monitors

I should more than likely be here for this, I just have to see what’s up with my job on that Friday first.

Has anyone had any issues recently when booking a room? I’m currently trying to book a room but I keep getting an error message from the site. "No lodging matches your search criteria. Please change your search options and retry."
I tried different dates and I keep getting the same message.

Ermagerd I’m so excited!!!

I will be there with all the ps3"s and asus we need.

Any chance for a DOA5 tourney? Side or otherwise?

will there be equipment to convert xbox controllers? also, my controller is wireless, but i can connect it to the xbox with a wire to keep it charged… can i use that?

That won’t make a 360 Wireless controller a Wired controller unfortunately. It also won’t function with any current converters available.

Plugging the Play & Charge cable to a wireless 360 controller just syncs the controller to the system and gives it charging power. It will still function as running a wireless signal to the system itself, and it will remember the sync as long as you have a battery in it.

My suggestion to avoid the syncing to the controller is to connect the play & charge cable to the wireless controller without a battery pack in it. This will allow you to play an Xbox 360, and you will not have to worry about accidentally pressing the guide button to disrupt the screen of the system once you have disconnected the Play & Charge cable.

But if you need to use a 360 controller on a PS3 via converter you require a wired 360 controller.

…fuck. but thanx 4 the info

In addition, the PS3 won’t accept the same converter twice. So if you and your opponent are both using the same 360 > PS3 converters, one of you won’t be able to use your 360 controller.

fuck again. once the controller has been converted, does it stay that way forever? (might b a noob question, but ive nvr had to deal with this b4.)

I’m not sure I understand your question, but the way 360 > PS3 converters work is you plug the 360 wired controller into this ‘hub’ of sorts which bridges teh controller to the system. You can use the controller in any system, just not a system that uses the same converter. You will also be able to use your 360 controller on a 360 afterwards. Either way, let’s not derail this tournament thread with this discussion. if you have any further questions, just send me a private conversation.

will do. btw (and anyone can answer this) is there really no AE at all on Saturday?
