Welcome back jdm!
I sent an e-mail to jj.socalmodding@gmail.com for some work. Get well soon.
Your super duper wiring is unstoppable!!! What I find really unbelievable is how you do the LED wiring. I usually trim all the wires down when I use the sparky board, and thought I was doing a clean job. Now I know what perfect is.
Oh and question, when the wires are connected to the sides of the disconnects, (which is what it looks like a lot of people have been doing), do they come off easy if the person has to remove them to change art or something?
thanks for the compliments!
as for the QD’s we solder everything internally so there is more of a chance to have the wires pulled out by crimping than our method…
If the wires you are talking about are the ones from PCB for Quick Disconnect that go to Button Microswitch.
The Quick Disconnect can be removed from Microswitch with no problem.
Like with Crimped Quick Disconnect, should never pull on wire.
Or maybe you are talking about the way I did LED Ground?
I soldered those to the Quick Disconnect.
Customer would have to desolder.
Desolder LED VCC too.
Thanks you covered what I meant and more. Once I did an LED job using mail and female connects so they buttons would still come out with out soldering, it worked but was way to messy. A lot of people locally don’t understand that LEDs should be the last thing you do since you have to solder anytime you want to change the art.
That is awesome! didn’t know it worked that way.
How come your partner at Devastation 2011, you were not?
The whole J&J Crew had a table at Devastation, doing mods for everyone.
Gummo was with us too.
Toodles came, and blklightning21 joined.

I was suppose to go but ended up not having any money, a group of my friends went. I’m thinking about seeing about modding there this year. Depends on how my next batches of boxes comes out, but I’ve also noticed that most people don’t invest in a box, and really just need things modded I was at the microsoft store SFxT midnight release, there was about 30 guys there with sticks, only like 2 were custom or had art changes. Devastation guys were hosting it.
Right now we do local tournaments with Euphoria gaming, and I’ve worked with team hAZmat. A dual mod still takes about an hour, I have to figure out how to do it all faster, I imagine when you are modding at the big tournaments you get a line going.
Also they were not modding there, just had sticks I made. Like the hit box, which wasn’t complete at the time the bottom plexi hadn’t been installed, and it had temp art I threw together in it.
I remember your boy that was using that hitbox… he used it well! I might have to hit you up sometime for one of those customs… keep it up man.
Thanks man! I was surprised how fast he picked it up. When I was making it, I tested it of course and it felt pretty crazy. You do know for sure every input is correct but jumping back or forward while attacking takes a ton of thought.
I just sent you guys an email. I’m gonna be in San Diego for a few weeks and thought I might bring a ps3 TE to get dual modded while I’m here. Also you guys do/know anyone locally to message about plexi?
Here is a teaser of something I had been working on for another fellow TeckTalk Member Muffman. He will post the pics of the whole case soon. Super Wiring, LED’s, DUAL MOD… the whole package! Thanks for choosing J&J for your modding needs brother. Enjoy your custom case!

That’s a Voltech VAS-22, right? Very neat wiring man.Luv it
Doesn’t look like it is wired.
But everything is actually soldered.
can u guys wire up an hd fluhigh noir cab? taito x2 is installed but coin mech isnt working or not connected and we are using outside power source. seems easy enough but we are just too busy to sit there and figure it out. what do u guys thinks?
I know JDM has been wanting to work on more cab’s… My work schedule is pretty brutal for the next couple of weeks I might not be able to make it out there for at least another month before I’m back to normal with work… Its hard for me to schedule time when I’m traveling like I am now…
yea Voltech did an amazing job on the build of his VS-22 steel edition…
It should be pretty easy. It’s actually hooked up but we are using an outsid power source. When we bought the cabinet the guy said he tested out everything with his Naomi kit but when we hooked up the harness to the capcom io board so we used out own. So I think if we can get his harness to work and hook up the x2 to the internal power supply and plug it all in everything should work, . You guys up for the challenge ? I’ll pay you of course. I just really need this machine working . Thanks
